What time should you pick up tickets?

Ok, so I'm going to the 2 Chicago shows in August. The e-mails said that tickets will be available to be picked up at 11am on the day of the show. My question is: Does it matter what time you get there? I remember 2003 when they had the "Blocks"... in other words, they would block, say, membership #s 100xxx - 150xxx. And if you got there early you could get the best seats in your block section.

So to make a long story short... is this PURE SENIORITY, as in your 2 seats are already decided no matter what time you pick them up? Or do you think there will be seniority blocks?

They did block sections up through the 2000 tour. You'd go up to the ticket window, and they had stacks of tickets. You gave them your confirmation # and ID, and they pulled two tickets off the appropriate stack.

But I'd still go as early as you can. The rumors are the Chicago shows are mostly 10c tickets, so lines could be long. I missed the opening song (Wash) at the Gorge in 2006, and there were still hundreds of people behind me in the 10c line waiting to get their tickets.

In 2000 my tickets came in an envelope, and I got great seats. The 3 shows that I saw in '03 however, were done in blocks. I remember the line at Bryce Jordan (State College) looked a mile long when I arrived there.

I'm so glad they only did the block sections for one tour, it's SOOOO much better now.

I guess it depended on venues. I didn't make a show on the 2003 tour, but my tickets in 2000 were definitely the block system.

they did in most places i think. i know for sure they did it in albany and philly. however the MSG shows were pre-determined like they've been lately.
i'm more a fan of popular bands.. like the bee-gees, pearl jam
