    Can anyone offer advice on if i need a rental car
    1st time spending any time in honolulu, I'm staying on the beach for 2 nights and dont really have plans except to see the shows and hit the beach
    Will the taxi fare to/from airport be the same as renting a car?

    Costs are probably pretty close, plus most Waikiki hotels charge around $15/day for parking. I rented when I was there in February but that was for a week and I needed to get around. If you drink you won't want to drive to/from the shows anyway. Honolulu can actually be a little tricky to get around in and parking is very limited.

    I'd never drink and drive but if I'd want to see other places on the island before the shows, wasn't sure
    maui i'm definitely renting a car for (can't miss making the drive up haleakala for the sunrise)
    Kinda bummed that prices seem to be going up but got a good deals on hotels so its all good

    Also, if anyone needs a place to stay, we're allowed two extra rollaways in our room at the hyatt regency (4 star hotel on waikiki beach in front of dukes with ocean view at pool - very sweet hotel!). We're trying to cut costs by opening it up to a couple of guests. PM me if interested.

    I really wish i could have been out there for either one of these shows... i was a the U2/Pearl Jam show in Honolulu in 2006... was an amazing time. I am going to see Ed play at the Tower Theater in PA next week. I am really looking forward to that.

    Can hardly believe Ed will be playing downtown Honolulu in less than 3 weeks... :D Still don't have a ticket to night 1, but I'm getting in on the 29th and won't be able to just hang out knowing Ed is playing in the same town, so... please RSVP me for this preparty! Will get into the Hawaii Theatre some how, some way.

    And to reiterate my beg: (possibly) looking to trade my spare Honolulu 2 10c ticket for a Honolulu 1 10c, or will (definitely) pay face for a good Honolulu 1 single.
