AC/DC is a good band, but I don't really consider them a "serious" band. Every song sounds exactly the same, Angus Young is a hell of a guitarist but c'mon AC/DC is just cock rock.

As far as albums sold - AC/DC has been around since 1973, they've been around 17 years longer than Pearl Jam. They released 14 albums in the 17 years before Pearl Jam was formed and have 17 studio albums to Pearl Jam's 8 - So I would hope they have sold more albums they've released twice as many albums.

Also let's face it, Pearl Jam never really was about selling the most records the way AC/DC is, that's why Pearl Jam has albums like No Code and Ten and AC/DC has those 17 albums that all sound exactly the same.
