    I'm so excited about the shows and the trip down! :)
    Buuuut I would be more excited if I had someone to sit with me at the 6/17 show!

    Okay, I have a question...there might be a SUPER-COOL venue available to us, with cash bar set up, but a possible food issue. In Tennessee, food must be served at any venue that serves alcohol. We need food sources anyway--as most people won't have time or the willingness to look for supper after the party ends and before the show begins. The venue I am looking at has event space, but it might require catering. What was put forth to me was $20/person for unlimited yummy food, but no person minimum. Meaning, if we ended up being short 10 people on the RSVPs, then it wouldn't change the per person price.

    The heart of the pre-party is that it's a fundraiser for a worthy organization, and most fundraisers have a "price" if you are getting freebies. I don't know--the possible venue is wonderful, but I feel like I am asking for money. I am assuming it would be at the door, but I just don't know right now. I wouldn't even put it out there if 1) the venue wasn't interesting, and 2) if dinner elsewhere wasn't about in the same price range.

    So, anyhoo...I guess I am just asking for your opinions. Let the complaining commence. Just kidding. :)

    Edited to say: Actually, I think everyone who has RSVP's is one of the few that don't scare me with the fear of complaints. LOL

    I'm cool with that. We'd be looking at spending between $10-20 anyways eating at one of the bars downtown and that doesn't include all you can eat. (I'm a personal fan of all you can eat establishments) So really it's not that big a deal in my mind. With alcohol involved, I figure I wouldn't spend less than $30 anyways. And hey, most fundraisers are catered events anyways! :)

    Thanks for the feedback!!! If this works out, it will be nice to have a space that is all ours--hoping that some friends up there (not necessarily PJ/Ed fans) will come out for us as well! The more the merrier, the more the money for Nashville Cares! :)

    Hey! Anyone going from the show on the 18th in Nashville to the Memphis show? If so, please PM me, as I have a favor regarding transporting Wishlist items from Nashville to Memphis.

    Also, if you are going from Nashville to Memphis to Atlanta, PM me as well on the same thing! I am going to make a post in the Memphis thread just to cover all my bases. :)

    I hope to have a final update on the venue for Nashville tonight or tomorrow morning.

    Regarding the HIE, I got a PM letting me know that the original block is filled. I knew that I would need to do a contract if we had more than 10 rooms, but I never heard from more than 3 people that they were interested! So, I will need to get in touch with my friend there to have him write a contract for me so that more of you can reserve at the "Krista" rate. :) So, no worries if you have tried to book and cannot.

    Oh, and I got a call today that I need to return regarding our venue! Whoo-hoo!

    I sooo appreciate everyone who has committed to donating for the auction!!! Can you send me a PM with the item(s) so that I can update the first post. If you have other friends with kind hearts on here who aren't going to Nashville, will you hit them up for me? I really want people to be excited about this pre-party! I know I am!!!

    Thanks for all the great feedback. I can't wait to see you all!!! Oh, and our tentative location is Big River Brewery, located at the end of Broadway and pretty close to The Ryman. I will be speaking with the event manager tomorrow, and will update the first post when I have us on paper!
