How about PJ playing the new tonight show with conan

I think it would be great for pj to play the tonight show with conan. Conan is show funny. It would be like the old snl show they did but better and new,

what do ya think?

    They have played Letterman every time since Binaural, at least. I know there were performances before that, too.

    Wouldn't playing SNL again be a new version?

    If you are wantin to hear more than one song Conan is out and it's almost guaranteed the other 2 ways.

    Conan is a shit load funnier than Letterman...you don't even have to like the guest he is interviewing to enjoy watching him...i can't wait for him to be on earlier than he is now

    yeppers. Letterman hasn't been funny for about 5-6 years now. Conan is a fucking riot. To the poster who says Conan will only last 2 years on the tonight show youre on glue buddy, why do you think Conan is going to the tonight show now? Because he threatened to jump to another network if they didn't give him the tonight show when he was negotiating his new contract which i believe is for 5 years minimum. He aint going nowhere.

    Conan has his moments.
    Dave has his moments.

    But could be great at times and both could be terrible. Just remember, Conan has to transition from late night to the tonight show. Different material. I love both of them.

    Pearl Jam will keep their roots with Dave. Maybe Conan if the Tonight Show was in New York but not LA.

    It would be convient right now though since the band is in LA. I would like to see it even though they don't have a new album to promote, yet :mrgreen: !!

    i don't get why 'because Conan is funny' or 'funnier than Letterman' has anything to do with the band playing on the show

    it's not like they'd be involved in skits or anything

    and if they played Letterman, which they will, you'd still watch, right?

    Of course we'll watch. Conan being funnier would just be a bonus. That's why I pointed out how we would get fewer songs on Conan.

    And um...... Dave hasn't really been funny since I can remember, but I missed his heyday.

    I think Conan does at least one thing that everybody thinks is hilarious. His self deprecating humor will be just what the networks ordered, imo.

    I absolutely love Conan, but I don't think we should mess with the good thing on Letterman.

    They should do Conan and Dave.

    I am down for PJ going on Conan. Conan is funny in a crazy type way that I appreciate very much, but I think Dave is funny in a simpler sort of way that I also appreciate. What I will definitely say, is I give PJ mad props for never going on Leno, who I am pretty sure you have to have the sense of humor of a monkey to find funny, (no offense to Leno fans.... maybe)

    I don't see why they couldn't do both, unless they just don't want to. A lot of times guests do Leno and Letterman on their promotion tours, since they are on opposite coasts. The same could be true now for Conan/Letterman, except for the fact that douchebag Leno is moving up to 10 PM

    Conan is awesome. He's the only late night show that I actually try to make time for every night to watch. He's funny every night, even if his guests aren't interesting. He's been on late night since '93, and he's gonna rock on the tonight show.

    Letterman sucks... he has for many many years. What a tired old man. I'm glad they have moved on. The loyalty to Letterman is cool but go with Conan... way WAY better show.

    Letterman has become too political for a late night talk host. Still has his moments though. When I went to his show a couple years ago, the cbs orchestra played hail hail and life wasted in between commercial breaks
