    Just got passports for the wife and kids. Took less than a month. But they get more applications in the summer, so I would get it done ASAP.

    You need to get a certified copy of your birth certificate and it costs over a $100.

    3-4 weeks. you can expedite for (i think) $75 extra, but when I did that, they made me provide proof that i needed it faster than normal (I showed them an international plane ticket reservation which was fine at that time).

    Start immediately (like today), and you should be fine... Canada show is easily mid-late august... plenty of time (assuming you don't have a "record") :-).

    ^^I wonder how many people that will shut out of the show?

    Do it asap. It can take a couple weeks or a couple months. I'd think right now in the US and Canada, it's a pretty hot ticket.

    just sent my renewal in last thursday... the woman said it could take up to eight weeks, which is why i decided not to drop and extra $60 on expediting it... toronto is now about 15-16 weeks away
    it's largely due to eddie that i liked to jump off of things as a child...

    They have a rush one you can get usually, like costs 50 bucks more but you can have it in 5 days or one business week, so if you applied for it today(Monday) you would have it by this Friday.
    {if (work != 0) {
    work = work + 1;
    sleep = sleep - work * 10;}
    else if (work >= 0) {
    reality.equals(false);
    work = work +1;
    }system("pause");
    return 0;}

    Anyone ever heard of a restriction relative to traveling "close to the expiration date of your passport". I seem to recall when I lived in Germany, a friend had a problem because their passport expired less than 3 months before departure date, even tho the trip was only schedule for one week (or something like that). the entry was denied because they could have gotten "stuck" in the destination country and if the passport expired while there it's some loophole that they'd have to allow them to stay until they get a new one etc. etc.

    mine expires in Jun 2010, but I wouldn't put it past either country (US or Canada) to pull some BS rule out of nowhere. It would super suck to arrive at the border, about 5 hours from home, and find out I'm not gonna see PJ (and I can look forward to another 5 hr drive!).
