i bought my tickets last night at 8:00 NY time no problem no way were they sold out at 3:15 even this morning they were still there for the taking ...

Wow!! thankfully you didn't try to get tickets to that Eddie Vedder show at Massey Hall last year. The panic and clusterfuck surrounding that pre-sale dwarfed yesterdays debacle.

Historically, it has never been easy to obtain Pearl Jam tickets through the TEN CLUB or anywhere else. They certainly is a popular little band...and I don't ever recall the TEN CLUB promising that your $20.00 membership fee guarantees you a seat at the table for what ever show tickles your fancy. Keep in mind that your membership only gives you a chance to get tickets...which is still better than the folks that will be fighting to the death over lawn seats on Thursday and Friday when these tickets go on sale to the general public.

In reality, there is a large volume of us in this fan club, and when you add to the fact that at the moment there are only 2 announced "non festival" North American dates this year, you're talking about alot of folks vying for the same small piece of Pearl Jam pie.

It truly sucks that you didn't get the e-mail warning of these shows. But you may want to make it a practice to drop by the Message Pit (or whatever this thing is called now) every once in a while and get some top secret scoop.

I find that 9 times out of 10 people on here tend to be privy to tour, album, and product information long before the TEN CLUB announces, farts, or Tweets the announcement out to the e-mails and media.

You won't ever get an email if you don't have "Want news emails" checked in your profile. And in general getting mass emails are never trustworthy no matter who it is from because of the typically high level of spam-filters/blockers that every ISP on the planet has set up. Your ISP could even have all email from pearljam.com permanently banned if they felt it was a spam threat.

But besides being posted here at pearljam.com in the NEWS section, on the boards, and in an email, it was posted on Facebook, Myspace, and Twitter well before anything sold out. They can't pick up a phone and call each member individually, especially not for a mere $20 a year.

to tell the truth..unless you have a really low 10c # you're better off getting tix from else where..i live in Boston and i learned that if i want a good seat when the boys come to town i need to seek other avenues...last tour i sat 6th row night 1 Mansfield and front row on night 2..granted it cost more to get closer..but money well spent IMO.

interestingly enough....i STILL haven't gotten an email about the two additional shows....

and yet i was easily delivered my "you were not selected" email for the nashvile show a couple of days earlier...

hmmmmmmm.....

this has happened before...unless i am mis-remembering....almost as if the person sending the emails is left out of the loop on purpose.....

I also STILL haven't received and email from the 10 Club regarding the addition of the Toronto and Chicago shows... I understand mistakes happen but I'm really getting sick of some people defending the club like they can do no wrong.

I lowered my expectations of them long time ago so I am not dissappointed that easily.

Pearl Jam fans are a bunch of babies. Don't renew your membership if the Ten Club sucks. Problem solved. I've been in the club for nearly 15 years and have not had one problem with the club. I've missed out on pre-sales here and there and I took responsibility for it. Step up your game, whiners.

Be honest about what time you checked your email, cause yes the emails went out a couple hours after the tix went on sale (likely because the site was crashed for about 2 hours), but the TO tix lasted well into the night, so its unfortunate that you missed out, but 10c did afford you an opportunity. They can't do much more than send the email, they certainly can't call every member or send Kerensa to knock on everyone's door to be sure they check their mail.
