The Docklands Travelodge is 5 mins walk from the East India station of the London Docklands Railway (DLR). Take the train from here and travel East, one stop, to Canning Town. Change at Canning Town to the London Underground Jubilee Line and travel West, one stop, to North Greenwich. It'll drop you right outside the 02 and takes around 10 mins in total.

The Docklands Travelodge is a real handy place to stay!
Thanks for the helpful info! :D

Pleasure...stayed at the Docklands Travelodge a couple of times recently, it's very convenient for the 02!

i've been reading everybodys comments about the travellodge, which has give me useful info. thanks, i've bookd tickets for pj, and my friend has booked flights from london, and accomodation at the docklands travel lodge. sounds like there will be quite a few of us jammers there.

don't want to sound stupid, but i read someone elses comments, which made it sound like the stage for the O2 is in the middle, is that so, or only for certain bands like when metallica did it?

Does anyone know when they will be taking money off people's credit cards. I booked my tickets on Monday evening, got the order confirmation e-mail but haven't been charged the money yet.

I think that I've read somewhere on the board that 10c will be charging credit cards once tickets pre-sae is over (5th of May).I may be wrong.
If the ticket order is in your good's profile, then it's ok and you don't have to worry

In terms of sound the arena is great, plenty loud. I have seen the Rolling Stones, Foo Fighters and Linkin Park there. Never actually managed to get standing tickets before - gotta love the 10C!

The only problem is it's good if you are level 1 seated or standing, but once you get to level 4 seated, you are pretty damn high up. Poor seats at the O2 and you will really feel like you are missing out! - It's not a very well designed arena tbh as I've also been top row at Wembley Stadium and that doesn't feel any further up or back, despite the fact it holds 90,000 people to the O2's 22,000.

I don't think either way of looking at it is wrong.

'ALL active members' sounds very much like 'ALL active members'.

I expect that it is only for members from April 26th and back, but it's ambiguous in it's wording.

Actually it is literally ALL active members, I joined the day they announced the tour (day after you have to be a member) and got my tickets yesterday.

Hey hey, I'm watching Spinal Tap there. Will be scoping it out for PJ.
Isn't Spinal Tap at Wembley Arena? I'm going too so will have to check my tickets....

Yes you're right mate, my friend bought the tickets and for some reason I thought it was O2 but it is definitely Wembley. I will just be thinking about Pearl Jam '07 the whole time I'm there now.

  • Saw Steve Coogan here back in December, it first I was sat on the back row of the floor level and I'm not even joking it was difficult to make out someone on the stage. Luckily I went up and complained after 5 minutes of the show and got nice side seats :) Sound was very echoy where i was sat though. :?

  • Could anybody please tell me what are the seating arrangements at the O2 arena? Which one is better: seating tickets or standing/general admission tickets? I'm from Brazil and I am going to London to see PEARL JAM!!!

    Cheers!

The seat layout is a typical arena setup.

The 1XX section of seating is pretty good for an arena, not far back at all.

On the other hand as previously mentioned the 4XX section is MEGA high (there's the 1XX section, then some private rooms for companies to hire above them and the 4XX section is way way way above them) so those seats are pretty bad. They even come with a warning not to buy 4XX tickets if you're scared of heights since it involves looking down at a pretty scary angle.

If you want to be in the action, get standing every time. If you want your own space or think you might want to have a bit of a rest partway through the performance, go seating.

Read somewhere online that hte tickets for the o2 show through Ticketmaster are £37.50/£30.00 so they also work out cheaper for those not booking through 10c. Not sure if this is true or not, guess we'll find out in the next day or 2.

once all of the fees come into it, it might be a £1 or £2 difference

Been away on holiday and only just got the presale email! I've actually missed out on tickets before for the same reason...but not this time :D

I'm particularly happy because I'm pregnant and, although that means I will be ENORMOUS by the time of the concert, this means I get to see my favourite band before my life is taken over by babies. Also, I've always wanted to go and see them with my husband and never had the chance, so I'm really excited that we're going together this time. It's so cool to think that the baby will be able to hear the music and it will be their first ever concert :D
