    Try Thin Air :-)
Best recommendation so far in my opinion.
You must a have strange relationship with your parents.

This is a romantic love song. Not even remotely appropriate for a father-daughter dance.

I'm very far away from getting married, but I've definitely thought about this before. One thing I know for sure is that the last song played at the reception will be Ledbetter. That seems like it would be a great way to end the night, just like a PJ show!

My wife walked down the aisle to LV 2000 "Can't help falling in love" and our first dance was to "Thin Air". It has a nice beat, but not so suitable for father/daughter moment...

I walked down the aisle to Metallica's "Nothing Else Matters", our first dance was Jack Johnson's "Better Together", if we'd have hung around for the end of the reception, it would have had to end with Yellow Ledbetter. I fully support this recommendation.

not sure this is appropriate for father / daughter either ...

now ... for a first dance, I think it would work

I think Dirty Frank or Blood would be appropriate - but seriously, at my wedding, we danced to can't help falling in love with you (vegas show cover) and we also had the Betterman instrumental version play as we walked in.....my thoughts

I don't think any Pearl jam song really suits a first dance, but if any probably Thin Air - after all it's about young love and the quest your taking on together as it states in the lyrics.

For the above reason, Yellow ledbetter was the last song at my wedding, we all loved it, those last few guitar riffs were the perfect end to the evening.

I used Thin Air for my song and it was a huge hit. I also used Throw Your Arms Around Me for our final dance of the night.
