Hey everyone, I am getting married on June 13th and I need some help! I would like to choose a Pearl Jam song to dance with my dad but don't know what to choose! What do you guys suggest? Any help is appreciated, Thanks!

Tell him it's going to be "Around the Bend"...

then right before the DJ spins it, switch to "Fuck ME in the Brain"

But seriously, "Around the Bend" is cool and easy to dance to.

    Betterman.

I really can't think of songs that would be particularly suitable to be honest.

I'm so glad you asked this question . . . I've been wrestling with a similar dilemma - what PJ song to use as our first dance as husband and wife next year. So far I'm leaning towards Oceans . . . but I don't know.

I'm looking forward to what other people have to post about this :D

Untitled for first dance might work or Throw Your Arms Around Me.

We used "Can`t Help Falling in Love" punk version from Memphis for cutting the cake...... it was pretty cool.

The wedding party was introduced to an extended intro to Baba, and our first dance was Harvest Moon. Very understanding and cool wife!

My wife and I just got married last May and she had us each pick a song for our 1st dance, since she figured we wouldn't be able to agree on one. She chose her DMB and I came up with Pearl Jam doing Neil Young's "Harvest Moon". I think it was Philly 05. I had two versions from 05 and one was alot better than the other...

We had "Forever" by Ben Harper in our ceremony... performed by the singer and other guitar player from my band... pretty sweet... the whole ceremony took about 12 minutes... definitely the way to go!! No church!!!

You must a have strange relationship with your parents.

This is a romantic love song. Not even remotely appropriate for a father-daughter dance.

I'm very far away from getting married, but I've definitely thought about this before. One thing I know for sure is that the last song played at the reception will be Ledbetter. That seems like it would be a great way to end the night, just like a PJ show!

We used Ben Harper's 'Forever' too and Parachutes.

My wife walked down the aisle to LV 2000 "Can't help falling in love" and our first dance was to "Thin Air". It has a nice beat, but not so suitable for father/daughter moment...

I walked down the aisle to Metallica's "Nothing Else Matters", our first dance was Jack Johnson's "Better Together", if we'd have hung around for the end of the reception, it would have had to end with Yellow Ledbetter. I fully support this recommendation.

not sure this is appropriate for father / daughter either ...

now ... for a first dance, I think it would work
