That video was very informative. I thought you could only catch it by shaking hands, but that made it clear that even if you are just standing three feet away from an infected person could do it. I hope this doesn't get worse. The animated map on that video really made it clear how quickly this could go downhill.ADD 5,200 to the post count you see, thank you.

One just has to consider the political ramifications of all this cross-boarder crisis.
I mean, does anyone find it odd at all that with an elite that is very clearly trying to push for regionalization (North American Union?) in the western hemisphere, it sure is interesting, what with the cross-border drug violence and now coincidentally a swine flu that seems to have "originated" in mexico, and is now causing "international" concern.
Remember folks,
these are not issues that any one nation can solve.
We must work together, form more lasting partnerships, to effectively address such deeply important trans-national concerns.
What we need is a new kind of multinational agreement.
PS - i'm not gonna read TOO much in to this just yet,
i'm just letting it be known, that i have my sniffer out on this already. If I was to smile and I held out my hand
If I opened it now would you not understand?0 -

i wouldn't find it so "fishy" if this wasn't the SWINE-BIRD-MAN flu, at least as i understand it.
Look, i know mother nature is a tricky bitch, but this sure is a neat one.
Alex had some scientist on the other day that was damn convinced that the genetic alterations required to get this kind of "mutation" were only possible via the lab.
That isn't to say that mother nature couldn't create something LIKE this,
but the way he was explaining the science (which, as usual was over my head) the actual basic biological differences between this and any of the exisitng flus was simply not possible via genetic mutations. If I was to smile and I held out my hand

The flu. I don't buy into the hype. People just need to always, as they should have all the damn long, practice good hygiene all the long, there wouldn't be such nasty viruses running rampant around the planet. People are just nasty animals and i'm indifferent to this swine flu bs.~*~Me and Hippiemom dranketh the red wine in Cleveland 2003~*~

I'm not sure that's true. I've heard some people theorize that we're overdoing it with hygeine... the people that carry around those little hand sanitizer bottles and use them ALL the time... they have no immunity and help breed super viruses that can overcome basic hygeine.0 -

dude come on. you should never underestimate what mother nature is capable of. I would immediately dismiss this "scientist" the second he said...simply not possible.
ANYTHING is possible in nature.0 -

Yeah, talk about an ego... a scientist who thinks that this (or anything) could only be done in a lab.My whole life
was like a picture
