Anyone know of a good bar near the Palace? Got a few numbers of cab companies in area just in case sh*t happens :D

    I am down for whatever! I will be going to Albany night one and two and I am looking for pre-parties and possible after parties! I will be staying in one of the hotels near the venue...not sure which yet! Let's keep this thread going with plans...I am in! Can't wait!!! :D

    There are a ton of bars all around the Palace. The most visible is Mcgeary's which is across the street. Good bar and all but another bar just opened about a month ago maybe a 1/4 mile walk up Broadway from the Palace called Wolf's Bier Garten. Really cool place and it's spacious. Looks like it was once an old firehouse and the doors are still in place, they open them up and it's like drinking outside. North Pearl Street which is just south of the Palace is full of bars. Just a warning to all who are travelling in. The Palace rest at the bottom of a hill on Clinton street. Stay at the Bottom of the hill! Clinton street is not the safest place to be and although it's a very historical part of the city it is riddled with crackheads and shady people. Just be safe!

    Thanks for heads up, I'm from Lowell,Ma. so I know crack St. first hand....lol. Are their gangbangers around there?? If just crackheads and slim shadys I will feel and be safe ;)

    Not a fan of the Bayou if you want to have cool preparty we should do it right across the street at McGearys or Wolf's Biergarten which is a five minute walk. I vote the later, becuase its so awesome and they have so so many good beers on tap.

    My vote goes to pre party at the biergarten and a after party at the Lark Tavern! Most of the bars on Pearl St near the venue suck. Full of 19 year olds with fake ids that play shitty music. Lark Tavern is awesome though.
