The House that Hank built.
Home of The Grand Ol' Opry.
We all know the history of this place.

I think Ed could get one hell of a really cool recording out of this building if he was so inclined to bring along the tapes and cameras for this show.

If there was ever a show that was going to get released from these Eddie solo gigs...I think the Ryman Auditorium is the perfect place.

Shhh.... you are killing my chance of winning the lottery if more people knew that and signed up!

Kidding aside...I agree that it seems like a great place for Ed to perform!

I am really curious how many people signed up for that show... I didn't see too many, but then again I couldn't keep up with so much excitement going on this board that I might have overlooked.

If I won the lottery, then I look forward to touring Nashville!

I've already been to Memphis when I was growing up and visiting families there. It's also a great city to visit! I visited Graceland...it's pretty cool tour if you have time to do that. Lots of history there as well...

Anyway, if you have signed up for Nashville - good luck come Monday! :)

I was telling my wife a week ago that I wanted to see a show at the Ryman someday but it would have to be special to get me to Nashville in the next few years. I've been a few times in the last year for football games and weddings and I have a friends bachelor party there the last week of May. When I saw the list of shows I literally jumped up because of the Ryman. I hope to win the lottery but I will be there even if I don't.
This show, another show, a show here and a show there.

It's an amazing venue. I saw the Neil Young shows there a few years back when he made that "Heart Of Gold" DVD.
I'm really psyched that Ed is playing there.

The Ryman is one of the most legendary buildings in music. It's one of those places you just "HAVE TO PLAY".

There is an imediate feeling you get when you walk in that building. Right away the presence of all those legendary performers surrounds you. All that amazing music still fills the air. I can't begin to imagine the feeling of stepping out on that stage to perform. The place is a living shrine to Rock'n'Roll, Country, and The Blues.

I would have loved to get tickets, but the schedule just does not work for me at all. I'm gonna be on the other side of the world when Ed takes the stage that night.

Hopefully, the occasion will be recorded. The Ryman is not your typical venue and quite possible one of the best theatres in the world to record live music in. It would be a real shame if this show passes without any kind of release.

I'm looking forward to it. Kings of Leon the 12th of May, Eddie Vedder a month later. Pearl Jam tour hopefully at the end of the summer. This is really looking up. :D

  • I hope I'm at the show and y'all are two, because being from Nashville, the solo concert will fit right in. Ryman has great acoustics and is just a marvel to be in and imagine all the great performers that have graced that place. I remember being at Robert Plant's solo show back in 2005, and seeing Allison Krauss come through the main doors and then security letting her back stage. Kinda ironic don't ya think?

I too am pretty stoked that Eddie will be playing the Ryman. I remember being in the 8th row for Robert Plant's show, and it was truly the greatest concert experience I've ever had. and once again, the Ryman has been voted the #1 venue for having the best sound and acoustics. I'd call that a big deal. we Nashvillians take so much for granted, especially having what is considered the best place to see a show right in our back yard. I hope I get picked to get tickets!

So.....any one planning on starting a Nashville meet up before the show? Any ideas?

Well first I think we should make sure we win the lottery first before we start planning.

Doesn't matter if I win the lottery or not....still going...shouldn't be too hard to get tix off ticketmaster....

also, I have a friend in Murfreesboro who's uncle is a friend of Eddie's (I know it sounds fake, but it is true!) who has 4 tickets already and i might get two of them.

regardless, I'll be there! But wishful thinking for TenClub seats!

    Exactly!

That's why I love this new method... hassle-free and I won't have to stress out about that TM because I know it'd all go out in milliseconds, only to end up getting pissed off at the outrage prices! While I do enjoy the challenges, but I am done spending hours behind the computer and dealing with too much stress.

I'm sticking with the lottery and if I don't win, it's over for me.

I've got my fingers crossed for good news tonight. If my order isn't selected, I'm afraid I'll have to just wait for the full band tour later this year.
