Ed Solo or hold out for PJ tour?

GIven the fact that I got to see Ed twice on the last leg of the solo tour, is it worth while to drive a minimum 10 hrs to see him again? Or does a person save the vacation and money for a possible PJ tour later in the year? Wouldn't it be nice if they just announced a full on PJ tour already!?!

I had the same question, but with only a 3 hour drive in mind. I decided to go for the lottery and see what happens. If it were a 10 hour drive, I would have definitely passed. It's going to be similar to the shows you've seen already, don't you think? Save up for the PJ (and consider those 10 hours saved up as well, and go to an xtra show on the tour) :):D

if i cop tix to the 06/20/09 show in memphis, i will drive the 7 hrs but that's it.. if i even try

i'd rather just see PJ. no offense to ed, but my preference is to see PJ
Down the street you can hear her scream youre a disgrace
As she slams the door in his drunken face
    And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green

if it was your first solo show I'd say def take the drive..but if you saw him already 10 hours is a long ass drive.

if i win the lotto I'll be driving 3 hours..not to bad..worth it to see Ed!

Im on the same boat though i've already decided my course of action.
I saw Ed in Vancouver last year and Im going to FTM next month, I'm holding on to my savings to go see them in the fall.

All points well taken. The Ed solo shows are awesome, but since I'm hoping for a mid-west PJ tour swing I guess Ill be holding off a while. Would love a swing through Alpine Valley/Milwaukee, Chicago, Minneapolis, Indy, etc. Thanks everyone for talking me down a bit!!!

I'm tempted to try for Philly or Memphis, but I think I'm going to hold out for PJ to tour later this year. I'm hoping this alpine valley rumor turns out to be true. If they go to Alpine, they'll def. be comin through Chicago too. SHould be a fun fall!

im glad the tix are only for one show...personally just cuz i can only go to one that's a friday (luckily its also night 2 in philly)
but i wouldnt go to more than one show...i saw him at NJPAC which was amazing and im wondering if this solo tour means they at least finished writing or recording all the demos for this 9th album b/c why else would he take a month off while they're supposed to be "working on a record"

hoping for a fall tour...dont really wanna drive in the snow to a PJ show tho i'd do it for someplace close like MSG or Hartford

Great minds think alike! I was just saying the same thing! BTW, whats the Alpine rumor? LUV Alpine (except when we are freezing our asses off).
