Nile Song by Pink Floyd.
...last time I recommended that like 10 years ago on the Synergy site, they started playing "Interstellar Overdrive"... it's on the same compilation "Relics" album, so I'll take credit for makin' them think about it.

i'd like to see/hear them cover some SRV. you know that Mike would go insane on these songs. i think Ed's voice would sound great singing SRV as well. how about "Pride & Joy"?I LOVE MUSIC.

I'm really hoping for less covers alltogether.
I think squeezing in a part of a song into a jam is cool, but IMO PJ plays far too many covers during a show.0 -

I'm hoping for one cover per show maximum; they have 8 (possibly 9) albums of their own material.
Everytime I hear a cover in concert I think of what original song could I have heard instead.0 -
No covers more songs..
unless its TOTD or Mad Season.0 -

they already play way more original songs than most bands.{if (work != 0) {
work = work + 1;
sleep = sleep - work * 10;}
else if (work >= 0) {
reality.equals(false);
work = work +1;
}system("pause");
return 0;}0 -
I would rather another PJ song than a cover... but if I had to pick... I would love to hear Eddies take on hurdy gurdy man by Donovan & Passenger by IggyLondon Astoria - Dublin - Wembley - Shepherds Bush - London 020

A nice original/cover mix is perfect.
I love covers!! (except when someone covers Pearl Jam....ugh.

final solution by pere ubu would be awesome....the song iteself has a line mentioning "a sonic reduction" where i heard a rumor that the dead boys took that to name sonic reducer from...not sure if thats true or not
i remember this was brought up on synergy about, yeah, maybe 10 years ago and i listed fortunate son... finally covered that one...it's largely due to eddie that i liked to jump off of things as a child...0 -

That's true, because they play longer than most bands.
But if you go see U2 or Springsteen you might hear one cover, while sometimes there are three, four or five in a Pearl Jam show.0 -

I'd love to hear them do some Floyd, like "On the Turning Away" maybe - stil a socially relevant song, and one of my favorites. Could be awesome.nothing's changed but the surrounding bullsh1t0 -
Covers are a big part of Pearl Jam, and it probably won't ever change. I like to hear covers I've never heard before...."I read about the evils of drinking, so I gave up reading." - Henry Youngman0

Don't get me wrong, PJ often does some covers better than the original bands would and a cover here and there can be cool.
That said, PJ has waaaaaaay to many of their own songs I'd rather hear than hearing another version of Baba O'Riley that I've seen live 1000 times.
Someone mentioned "The Real Me", and while that was one of the coolest performances of a cover ever, it wouldn't be the same without the horns...and I don't see PJ bring a horn section on tour with them.0
