Does anyone have a decent picture of the NO WAR Dog tags?

I’m asking because I want to compare the ones I bought from someone not to long ago.
I couldn’t buy them at the show on 2003 so when I saw someone selling them I jumped right on them.
I contacted the seller and he told me he had 2 pairs he had bought at the show and he was selling me both pairs.

I was talking to a friend of mine and she told me very excited that she finally bought the Dog Tags, one for her and one for her husband, I asked her where she found them and she gave me the name of the person and it happens to be the same guy I bought them from, the same guy that told me he only had 2 pairs.

So call me paranoid, but who buys 4 pairs of dog tags at the show at $20 a pop? So now I’m a little suspicious that his may have been fakes, so before totally jumping to conclusions I would like to compare mine with someone that has their pair bought at the show. Who knows maybe the guy did have 4 pairs of dog tags after all.
There is nothing I can do now, but I still want to find out.

I would really appreciate you guys’ help.

If someone sold you fake tags, I know there will be a group of us on here that will hunt them down and....

Well I don't know for sure though, it just seems odd to me that someone will buy 4 pairs at a show and then get rid of all of them you know?
And Dog Tags with different things on them are easy to get so I guess I just want to know if I was taken for a fool with these and were not the original ones.

those are the ones that I've seen on here before. I've never seen them in person. I didn't even know you could get them on the 03 tour.

Nope they dont look anything like that.
I only saw them once at the MSG show but I could only afford the skateboard deck or the tags and I chose the skateboard deck ... ive been looking for these for ages.. so I would be really sad to find out I was taken advantage of :(

damn, that sucks!!!! Have you contacted the seller? I know it's a long shot, but this is pretty messed up.

If someone can confirm the picture I just posted are the real ones, then you bet Ima send this guy an email (probably not very nice email), I dont expect for him to return my money and I'm probably going to wear them anyway, heck I already have them. But it kinda sucks because I could have had those made myself probably much much cheaper than what I paid the guy for the ones I got.

but like I was saying before I haven't called any names because I'm not 100% maybe he did have 4 pairs and mine are the real thing.

I wouldn't want to call someone out without knowing for sure that he/she did something wrong you know?

man, I wish I could help...I used to have some and they've been lost in the shuffle...the pic you showed looks like the ones I had, but I'm going off of my memory of them from several years ago...

do you have a pic of the ones you got?

Im going to put a picture up right now so you can see them, a friend of mine just emailed me pictures of her, she has 2 sets, one she bought at the Philly show and the other one at MSG they have different fonts but are generally the same, mine are TOTALLY not :(

I got mine at the show in Missoula in '03. The difference is, mine is backwards then the one pictured.

ie, the stamp is just the opposite of what you have pictuered. If you need any other info on those, LMK

Turning them over is the back side, which is printed backwards!!

The ones i have, the hole on the right side of the lettering and is indented towards the back side!

do i really need to take a pic?

you dont need to, I just posted pics of mine, back and front, I doubt they look like yers, my friend just sent me pics of her and they are so not anywhere close :?

no surprise there... as soon as my friend told me that this guy had sold her as well 2 pairs I knew he had taken advantage of both of us, how sad that some people come on the board to pray on others...

I bought mine in Cleveland in 2003. They are different than all of the pics thus far, the number '3' on mine is flat on the top, and the numbers are much smaller and closer to the 'No War'. Aside from that the hole is on the oppossite side/the letters are backwards.

I will post pictures in just a little bit. I need to bust out my camera.

Mine are different. They are inversed with the readable side being the smooth side (ie without the ridges on the end) as well as having the raised lettering being on the back, not the front.
Mine are legit, bought them at a show in '03. Sorry. :(

I think they're the same, just variations. They look the same shape/font. It's possible (given the range of responses) that there were a number of different ones made (i.e. embossed/debossed/front/back etc)

Edit: although on closer look, the spacing is a bit wider, but still could've been different batches?

that's what I was thinking, I would hate to call someone out and make them look like shit if I'm not 100% that he/she sold me duds you know? I would hate for anyone to that to me and I wouldn't want to do that to someone else...

Well now I just got a PM from some else that fell for this guy's scam just like me, so now I now of 2 more people that bought 2 pairs of Dog Tags from this same person.... so i guess this guy had 6 pairs after all?! :shock:

I don't even think there is anything I can do... I'm so pissed! but I guess it's my fault for being so trusting :(

There is no doubt on my mind that guy was a total scam.. its sad to see people like that on the board...
