My guess is it was an introductory price for the first week.

So... what are you trying to say Kat ;)

I guess this has been explained in not so erudite words when people were questioning the Best Buy prices, etc.

'Key value item' sounds so much better than 'loss leader'!

If you go into the marketplace sellers you can still get it for $123 shipped for a new copy. Last week it was like $115, but $123 is still good... and only a marginally worse chance of getting a signed copy. HEYO!

    que?
    :?

there is ZEROI chance of getting a signed copy thru any other source than the 10c, and even there - now - it's too late. you had to put in your preorder no later than march 1st to have a chance at a signed copy. at least that was my understanding of it.

as to a 'loss leader'.....makes total sense and i've heard the same oftentimes in regards to first weeks sales of CDs, DVDs, and the like...get the customers into the stores, even when selling at a loss...to develope future, profitable business! it must work, b/c so many do it.
    Stay with me...
    Let's just breathe...

I am myself like you somehow

    Hey - I said marginally worse :)

The odds through the TC were probably like 2% or something. Through Amazon marketplace its 0% but its $17 cheaper and was about $26 cheaper last week.

I was mostly kidding though... the prices are what they are.
