He's currently working on the new Aerosmith record as of a few days ago. So hopefully this means the new record is done! Hopefully they just need to do artwork and finalize the tracklisting. And lets all hope Ed isn't determining the tracklisting!!!!!!! Let the others do it Ed!!!!! :D

I am a big fan of his productions...and by the way his latest work with Ac/Dc kicked major fuckin asses if you ask me...it's their best record since 1990's Razor's Edge imho.

FWIW, Brendan O'Brien often works on more than one project at a time. I'd be surprised if recording for the PJ album was done already. Just this year he's worked with Billy Talent, Killswitch Engage, PJ and now Aerosmith. That's potentially seven albums to be released this year when you count the Ten reissue, Springsteen and Mastodon.

That could mean for some potentially great news. Maybe in a few weeks they will announce a tour and when the album will be out roughly.

I don't think they are finished with the recording/producing. As someone said, he workd with several albums.

It will be realesed this fall, not sooner.

Actually Brendan works on one at a time. He just works quickly. Records everything live. Bands generally don't like spending alot of time in the studio and Brendan doesn't dick around. Thats one of the reasons everyone likes him. All of those records your talking about Brendan worked on last year . they just havn't been released until this year. The only work he has done so far this calendar year 2009 is with PJ and Aerosmith.

Ok the album has got to be done. Brendan now working with Aerosmith, Ed doing tribute shows in New York in April and May and Green River doing a couple shows in May. If it isn't then this album won't be comming out until probably November at the earliest. I'm guessing they are currently working on artwork and figuring out how they are gonna release it. Once that is all done we should hear something.
