New Version of Brother...

This link is to a blog written by a DJ (Mistress Carrie) at my local rock radio station...it looks like the new version of "Brother" will be hitting the airwaves in a few weeks. I am curious to see if it has lyrics? It obviously can't be the same as the one on "Lost Dogs".

    It's not new. It's very old, that's kinda the point. ;) And yes, it does have lyrics and it's far,far better than the Lost Dogs version.

    It says at the end of the blog that it's the version that has lyrics. Can't wait so i'm goin to youtube.

    NICE!!!! I wonder how the public will receive the song. Personally, I wonder if Girl would have been a better choice.

    I've heard 3 versions of Brother. The instrumental version from Lost Dogs, and 2 versions that had the lyrics.

    Im not sure if I still have it, but I used to have a version of Brother with lyrics, but it was really poor quality, hopefully this is a nice cleaned up version, very excited to hear about this

    Do people realy prefer the version with lyrics?

    I personally think that the instrumental nature of the song is what makes it extra, extra special.

    I'd assume that it is going to be fairly similar to the Brother with lyrics version from the "Anything in Between" promo album for Logs Dogs.

    That's what I was hoping. The Best Buy thing sounded great with the Little Sister lyric change.

    I haven't listened to the old version in years...I liked it, but I was always aware that my bootleg copy of the song was really shitty.

    It's going to be strange hearing this on the radio.

    I wonder what kind of reaction it's going to get.

    I have to say, I know how bad corporations can be, but having used to work for Best Buy for a number of years up until recently, somebody at Best Buy corporate is a huge Pearl Jam fan. Pearl Jam always had clips on TV displays, they would always over advertise new Pearl Jam and Pearl Jam always would randomly make it into the ads whether it be a picture of the band displayed on the screen of a TV or a satellite radio for sale streaming the title to a Pearl Jam song.

    I actually visited Best Buy corporate office once and not that age means much, but 90% of it is run by people under the age of 30. Even our monthly meeting videos made jokes by drug references and such. I'm pretty sure they sponsored Stone's side project. I tell you the company is run by hippies.
