..and I bought a cheeseburger, and they forgot to put any meat in it.
I almost broke down and cried like a baby. :|

I know. I'm not proud of it. It's a once or twice in a year thing. I fancied a change from Chinese food.

how much is a cheeseburger in China?
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

About the same as in England.
Chinese food's really cheap - a meal will cost about £1. But western 'restaurants' charge the equivalent of what they do abroad.

I still can't believe they forgot to put the meat in it though. I mean, how the fuck can that happen?

Also, there's a nice restaurant here in town and twice in a row they forgot to bring me my food after I'd ordered it.

It's things like this that make you question your own existence. :geek:

    Of course.

I stood at the counter and made sure everyone else who was queuing up could see what had happened.

When you order "chinese" in China do you just call it food? Do they have clever names that either incorporate the word "golden", "dragon", or "palace" or are they more mundane like "Mr. Chu's food emporium". :D

The names of most places are in Chinese, which I can't read. Some use pinyin - Chinese using English lettering - aswell. I.e, one place I go to is called 'Xiao wen Tang Bao'.

    Worst food I've EVER eaten:

Chicken nuggets in a McDonalds in Hong Kong. Fucking disgusting. I'd much rather stick to chinese food, thank you very much.

Do they not do any regular sammiches, like from delis or some such thing?

Separate question: What's your Chinese language fluency level? You wrote that you can't read it, but I'd imagine working over there that you have some understanding of it, no?
