I watched Hype! last night for the first time in about 7 years. It's a really good documentary. If you haven't seen it, check it out! That's all I got.

    I've always wanted to see Hype! and have kept my eyes open for it but never caught it. Any suggestions? Maybe it's time to bite the bullet and buy the DVD. How much time do they devote to PJ?

    I saw it when it first came out and also own the dvd and vhs. haha I love it. :) It's definitely a fun watch, especially for us that live in the PNW and remember all of the bands. ;)

    this movie makes me sad that i wasn't old enough to go to those kinds of concerts and crowd surf if i wanted to. :(

    yeah i have had the vhs for a few years. i just don't have anything to play a vhs on anymore. i signed up for netflix a few weeks ago and put it on my list. i would try to check it out if you haven't seen it. eddie talks a decent amount, matt cameron is in it quite a bit too. although he was in soundgarden then. they also play not for you at the end. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bP5zdVVbNNo

    I agree, born in '82, I was to young to appreciate the musical explosion of the early 90's. I didn't start listening to (good) music until mid 90's. Totally missed young PJ and Kurt. However, totally love my sub pop compilations.

    To the original post subject matter, I love Hype!. If you haven't seen it, go get it.

    I've ordered the DVD a couple of days before and received it yesterday! I'll definitely watch it tonight! ;)

    I love Hype ! though, as a Gits fan, it makes me both happy and sad. Happy because I love their music and it takes my mind back to The Off Ramp in 91 when I caught The Gits live. Sad, because their talent wasn't allowed to reach full bloom.
