Then it's Massey Hall! 8-)
between Bu$hleaguer and the fireworks going off behind the venue, the '03 Toronto show at the Molson Amphitheatre was a fun night. PJ obviously prefer to play outdoors during the warmer months whenever possible,...still, here's hoping they never return to that venue! To quote the 10C from Newsletter #8: "Please understand we have a lot of members and it is very hard to please everybody. Really? I love summertime shows at the Molson Amphitheatre! Especially if it's a band that I like, but don't totally LOVE enough to want to be up in the front row, it's great to just kick back on the lawn and watch the show.... And during the CNE, you can see all the lights at the midway.... But I understand that with the noise travelling across the water to the homes/cottages on the island that the curfew is strictly enforced, so probably wouldn't make for a "epic" long PJ show....
And yes, RH, my avatar is Ed and Bono at the Hawaii Dec'06 show - you're just jealous 'cause you weren't there and I was!

hahaha I hate U2, and Bono more than I hate Lars and "New" Metallica... I have pics of Ed with Kings of Leon and Ben Harper from shows I've seen. BUT either way it was a PJ show I was not at so I do speak a bit out of Jealousy.. 8-)0 -
I second that opinion on Bono ... and Lars...Random_Hero wrote:

Same with Metallica.... they lost there coolest member in Jason Newstead cause Lars and James are dicks and they have not released anythng good since .....and justice for all.... ok rant done. I should tie this all back into being Canadian sooo... hmmm

the sound at the venue is awful, the acoustics simply aren't right. was sitting 4th row center during the '03 PJ show at the Amphitheatre and from my perspective the stage is just, um, awkward is the best way for me to describe it,...To quote the 10C from Newsletter #8: "Please understand we have a lot of members and it is very hard to please everybody. Of all the concerts I've ever been to, it was by far the worst sound. I seriously hope they never play that venue again. Maybe you guys should try sitting back on the lawn - it sounds great back there!

caught the Sex Pistols at the Molson Amphitheatre from the lawns - again, shitty sound (mind you, it was the Sex Pistols). if i was ever going to sit on a patch of grass and listen to loud music blasting, it would be done in my backyard,...To quote the 10C from Newsletter #8: "Please understand we have a lot of members and it is very hard to please everybody. I agree about the Molson Amphitheatre. I've heard and seen some great shows there. I was in the 200's in 03', in front of the sound booth and I didn't have any complaints about the sound. This past summer I was really looking forward to the Radiohead show, and although it did sound good it could have been a lot better. I walked away a little disappointed, as seeing them an any other venue would have been amazing. Mind you the visuals were spectacular!
Ricoh Coliseum would be amazing. There isn't a bad seat in the house. But yea I know we're dreaming. I'll take the ACC and of course anything to relive Molson Park...heck I'll take the same set list too!0 -
Let`s say...night one - ACC
night two - Massey Hall (fan club only)

That would be sweet! But as much as I would love that, I still think Massey Hall is too small for a fan club show. Too many people would get shut out. As much as I loved the Vic, it sucked that I had 4 friends (10C Members) that were in Chicago that week and go shut out of the show. Granted, Massey Hall would be over twice as many people as the Vic was,m probably 3 times.mnicole22 wrote:Let`s say...night one - ACC
