Anyone else hear the crowd signing 'Na na na na, na na na na, hey hey-ey, goodbye' to Bush while he was flying over the crowd in the helicopter on this way back to Texas?

:D

    I heard that too.

I couldn't help but wonder what Bush thought when he noticed the difference between this day and his day.

Got to give Obama credit... it's not easy to be gracious and respectful when your speech essentially has to be about how the last guy really fucked everything up and you're going to try to fix it... but he managed :)

agreed. not easy, but he did pull it off....and then sure, went into abit of all the fucked up things and how collectively we need to work and fix it. i see a lot of people rather 'eh' about his speech. i thought it was really strong and good. maybe not as emotional/inspirational as others in the past....but i thought it really was on traget and well done for the day, and to put in people's minds what he wants to start. a HAPPY day indeed!

in poor taste? Sometimes it's the only time people can get to have their opinions HEARD is at a public event of some kind. I think it was brilliant!.. and very very tastefully done. The man's a mass murderer on Ghengis Khan scale so I think he got away lightly to be very honest. I think it would be fantastic if Obama held him accountable... but obviously doubtful.

I didn't notice the crowd, but I do know that watching him leave for good was the best part of the inauguration. :D

I agree but that wasn't the time for that. Maybe I'm old fashion but he's still the president and show some respect hate him or not. Anyway he's gone and time for the next guy to jump into fire. Good luck Obama.

I've said it in other threads but... professions do NOT earn you respect. YOU earn respect. The man is a mass murderer... and he got away with a song... he should be relieved.

True... but that's nothing to do with him... certainly the opposite. BECAUSE of bush, I can guarantee you that 'terror cells' are building up around the world and there is a HUGE anti american feeling in certain countries. You think this is over just cos bush is gone? Nope there's a LOT of work to be done yet to make the world safe... not just america.
