haha. fuck bush, he should be in jail. a crowd saying this is the least of what he deserves.

I agree but that wasn't the time for that. Maybe I'm old fashion but he's still the president and show some respect hate him or not. Anyway he's gone and time for the next guy to jump into fire. Good luck Obama.

actually, i think it's respect for the whole process; the inauguration itself, the office of the presidency. obama acted with total class. i have zero respect for bush, but i have respect for the presidency. i also don't have a problem with people doing so, tis their own perogative of course...and sure, it made me laugh...but yea, i do agree....not very classy. differing perspectives and all that. c'est la vie.

it's just like before the elctions when palin was trying to rally people against obama and people called out horrific things, etc, mccain was totally against it and it seemed, rather shocked at times.

anyhoo...done with bush, so it's all good!

Of course a politician should be disgusted by acts like that... if they wanna get votes. However I do think that McCain ran and lost his campaign with the utmost of grace and deserves some respect for that. BUSH however................................................................................. actually I'm trying to think of ONE thing... JUST one thing... he's done that deserves my respect and all I can think of is 'na na na na, na na na na, hey hey-eh, goodbye'. I thought that was extremely classy in comparison to giving the man what he really deserves

did you read my quote? :?
i said i have zero respect for bush, the man. i have respect for the office of the presidency, and i have respect for the entire process, the inauguration, etc. i personally believe it was in poor taste...accurate in it's sentiment and kinda funny, but sure...poor taste. again, different perspectives. cool you see it one way, and i another. and while i think he is a reprehensible person, i also do not hold him soley responsible for it all either....he certainly did not act alone, and hell, the majority of americans voted him back in office! we as a country all shoulder blame.

He's the man paid to act and TAKE the blame. He was supposed to do everything in the best interest of the country... he did nothing. He was basically born with a silver spoon and has had everything his own way so I have no sympathy for someone like that when their failures get reflected back at them. I believe in karma... and if this is all karma has to offer bush, well I dunno if I believe in it anymore. Do you seriously think this song was in poor taste? Like I said... those people singing... could well be the worst effected by his reign and could have personally lost plenty... and considering the demographics of the crowd I'd say this is well true. So those people certainly have a right to sing without being told it's in poor taste :?

i know full well bush's history, and his policies, his lack of action, his poor choices for us all. none of this have i disagreed with. nor did i say he deserves respect. i've made my point pretty clear a few times now.

and i never once said that they did not have the *right* to sing and do as they did.....and it is certainly my right to believe it's in poor taste. i honestly don't understnad why you seem to have a problem with it? :? i don't take issue with you agreeing...i just see it differently. i said in my first post 'wow...that's fantastic! bit in poor taste' or soemthing to that effect. so sure, they can sing...and i can say it's in poor taste...and i don't think any of us will lose sleep over it. :P i personally do not think it was appropriate at the inaugural ceremony. tis my opinion to have and certainly don't expect any to agree, makes no difference. discussing the topic, it's not 'personal'...and i doubt anyone in the crowd could give a shit if i thought it in poor taste, unclassy, or whatever.....

well that i can appreicate. i may not 'understand' that...but i can appreciate that pov. and that's all i ask of my own views as well. obviously we all see the world through very different filters, and all based on our own views and experiences, etc....which naturally colors our views in a myriad different ways. i probably will never understand a lot of differnt things about people, their views, what goes on in the world, etc...and so it goes....

It's not like Bush heard them singing; he was up in the helicopter flying over. They did briefly mention it on the news though.

i couldn't care less if bush heard it, in fact...better if he did. seriously, fuck him. that really wasn't the 'point' to me, at all. it was the whole process, the time/place...the inauguration, celebrating a new president. i personally saw it as inappropriate it for that. really, in a sense, it was disrespectful to the day in my mind...but whatever...i think i personally discussed it enough. :P say it's fantastic and make one off-hand comment about it being a bit in poor taste...and thereya go....10 posts discussing that one comment.

it's not easy to be gracious and respectful when your speech essentially has to be about how the last guy really fucked everything up and you're going to try to fix it... but he managed :)

    Fuck Bush.

He should be publicly tarred and feathered, and then sent to jail with the rest of his gang of crooks.

    I know my history.

a recent poll of Arab countries asked what is the biggest threat to world peace-the answer was the US and Israel. Both Israel and the US have proven that poll to be true...their actions support the feelings of the pollsters. The US has invaded Iraq, Israel has invaded Gaza...its obvious who the aggressors are.

groups have hated the US for a reason...and will continue to do so as long as we perpetuate our militant foreign policy...as long as we continue to give them a reason to hate.

I say we, but mean the US government. We has become the term, but I think its inaccurate.

there are better ways to deal with terrorists/
