desperate disc help needed.

my computer is telling me my disc is not formatted. and would i like it to be. if i say yes will i lose the data that is already on the disc?

take a good look

hold my hand

    if you format it, you will wipe it.

    Exactly what Wedge said...format..equals an erased disc..

    What are you trying to do? format? fix? defraq?..Partition?
    and why is it telling you to format it? Is it a brand new disc?
