Cutting Avi files

So I have this long recording of a couple of artists at Lolla, but I just want the part with Ben en Eddie, I tried a program but that still made a huge file out of just 1 song. Any ideas on a way or program to edit this big file?

    I tend to use adobe encore, that's what we use at college as well

    thanks, sounds good, I enjoy working with other Adobe products, but so far can't seem to be able to find a decent (semi legal ;)) download of it..

    you could probably use something like Avidemux

    Thanks Duff_Man! Avidemux is easy to use and does the trick. Encountered a small problem with a .wmv file, but it's recoding it as I write this to mpeg4, hope it works!
