    and i love to give compliments.....but not BS compliments. i compliment people often, but when i do...i truly mean it. i am not about the 'oh let's all BS and make the world shiny and happy all-are-beautiful' crap. :p but i will definitely compliment people on the tangibles and in tangibles....and i think people are often surprised. too many don't share their good thoughts often enough.


    and yes....hugs are awesome!

    same here. it is funny to see people get taken aback when you compliment them....especially if it's a total stranger. it's a great feeling to see a smile come out of nowhere, like finding some pretty flower along the road.

    and see, that's the thing - that IS my usual reaction to meeting/seeing friends i adore! (well not the boob thing, but ya know...they were just there....so.....) i am thinking tho that somehow i managed not to hug cbg, perhaps b/c i met her and zoso simultaneously, and i really didn't know him too well to be hugging him .:p

    oh yes that's true about vancouver, that was such a rushed thing i got thrown off my hug meter or something lol i'm very affectionate by nature and always hug family and friends when i see them and when i say goodbye. it'd feel strange not to!

    Not a lack of hugging over here, but yes I avoid conflicts when I can.
    However, it is getting better and I've def. learned to say no these days.

    And I love giving ppl compliments and hugs! There is no greater pleasure than giving...

    p.s. Even give ppl anti-compliments if that's what they wish for..... :D
    Why not be mediocre and be the best at it that you can be?

    actually...i kiss everyone, friends and family that is. :p a peck on the cheek of course. my hugs are FAR more special! means i am thrilled to see you! :D

    truly. going by your *warm* personality, i'd have pegged you as a truly affectionate hugger. :p i guess too, given your background....perhaps tend to intellectualize emotions more? granted, i like to do that too.....but i am a hot-blooded descendant of sicilians, and some crazed-irish too....so definitely quite physical about it as well.
