wow, Leyritz came across as a stand-up, highly ethical kind of guy

I enjoyed listening to him last year on my MLB.com podcasts

that is such a shame for all parties involved.

Innocent until proven guilty? No? Another child of the media.

Anyway, as a Yankee fan, I can say that Leyritz wasn't well liked around the club house. From what I've read/heard, he was arrogant and self-centered. He was an OKAY player but wasn't a great teammate.

Leyritz burned his bridges when he left the Padres too. Made a few comments about Tony Gwynn that weren't well received.

Regardless, it's a tragedy. And as someone else pointed out, take a f'in cab. You earned millions at one point, you should have something saved up.
"You're no help," he told the lime. This was unfair. It was only a lime; there was nothing special about it at all. It was doing the best it could.

I fully agree with hanging him if he's guilty. Drunk Driving should be one strike and you're out. There is no forgive, no forget. You chose to make the ultimate reckless decision. you deserve to suffer.

About Leyrtiz, I am oh so happy to see my childhood heroes crash and burn one by one. I thought Leyritz was the coolest guy when he was a player. But if this was true, fuck him
