    Dear 10 club,
Sending an email annoucing tour information on "Good Friday" for tickets is in poor taste. Many people in the US who work may have family obligations to the holiday weekend and not check their emails. This was way too short of an announcement. I bet a lot of people will miss out on tickets because of this short notice. Why is there a rush to sell the tickets? Afterall, prices were not even listed to day of the sale. I'd say hold the sales until you get ALL the information. This includes knowing the dates on the entire tour. Not just a leg.
    Thanks

I think 10 club is only listening to those who kick and scream... thus my post. I think listening to the silent majority is dead.

If this were true they would have played the south after the last tour and never woulda stopped. They whined like nobodies business! Sorry Southies, just trying to make my point that Pearl Jam does not cater to the whiners. They make music for themselves and for their fans. They hit the road when they have the chance. People forget these people have lives. I for one am appreciate all the times I have been able to see them. I do not have a sense of self-entitlement that these guys owe me anything and should be playing in my backyard or announcing things when it is convenient for me!

They will never please all of the fans all of the time. But when they deliver ........
    they deliver!

P.S. Southerners even though I am not in the south, but rather the great white north I hope you get your shows!

    Out!

I thought we had covered every aspect of complaining about every possible detail of this tour. I figured 'It's too short', 'It misses too many parts of the country', 'I don't have enough time to prepare to buy the tix', 'No prices posted', 'The tix are too expensive', 'The ticket sale times are inconvenient', 'The server is too slow', and 'I bought tix but don't have a confirmation' covered it all but I have been proved wrong once again. Well done, sir! Well done indeed!
  • I haven't been receiving the e-mail announcements from the Ten Club for quite some time. Is anyone having issues with comcast.net e-mail addresses?

Anyone complaining about the timing of emails and post on the message boards needs to take a moment to realize that presale tickets of prime seating to Pearl Jam concerts is a luxory and privilege that us 10c members enjoy (not a right) . If I cannot afford to check the message board or my email regularly, then I can join most other concert-goers and purchase tickets through ticketmaster on the scheduled onsale date.

I can image that the band and the fan club get their share of push back from venues, promoters, etc. for reserving/allocating these seats for their most die hard fans time after time. Thank you 10c. Thank you Pearl Jam.

You might want to check your junk mail folder. Mine ended up there without my prompting. Also, some junk mail never downloads to my PC because it gets intercepted by my on-line e-mail interface with Road Runner. You can set it to let everything through, but I prefer to leave my junk on the web.

    This is the best thread.

Esp the part where arhoops yelled at chromium for apparently agreeing on something.

on what, though I have no idea.

Chromium...this is why I am absent from the board for months at a time.

wow--- makes you wonder what is going on in some people's heads... coming on here and trying to complain about what a great job the 10c is doing is in poor taste... hope your kind doesn't come around here more often.

  • I was having a problem with the short notice to purchase tickets just cause I have to ask my boss for the time off and it takes forever to get that approved. Doesn't anyone else have that problem? And even with the "heads up" from last week, we still didn't know the dates of the concerts, did we?

So does everyone else go ahead and buy tickets and then get permission from their boss? And if not, just hope that they allow transfers again? Not really complaining, just asking if I'm the only one getting a stomach ulcer over this.
...And he who forgets will be destined to remember.

...I swear I never took it for granted. Just thought of it now.

One of the main reasons I do not like the idea of fan clubs etc is for the very reason this person posted
    what rudeness
everyone knew that that the release was planned for midweek but held up for some reason till friday.
the band announced some dates so the fans could buy tickets first and you whinge about it
    shame on you
    your selfish and rude.
How about pj just anounce to everyone in the world and allow access to all without tenclub getting first dibs
THEN YOU WOULD BE SITTING UP THE BACK
your lucky. the only thing you owe your fan club and the band is BLOODY THANKS

I can understand why people are upset. These people are mostly ones who have been with 10c a long time. The thing is that 10c used to be good at all those things people critizise them for now. You could hardly fault 10c back in the 90's because they were all over the place spitting out news and whatnot. It was evident that the 10c people were HUGE fans and this is what kept them going. There was a drive there..... now it is gone...

How dare the band make an annoucement while I locked myself into a bubble as a social experiment? How dare they not consult me about all this before I walked into this impenetrable bubble?! Ohhh, the horror!
