    oh wow HLF! I didn't think you would be a cheater! sometimes, I say the total out loud. it seems to worry people when I get a high number i go WHOOOOO!!! it is just a way to like watermark your boredom. you forget how monotonous the daily work grind actually IS when you write down the numbers from everything you type through the course of the day. I then add the numbers up and one of the strangest things is when the number is high, I feel like good about my day. regardless of where i was typing. (websites, actual work, email, IM whatever.)     take a day off in the middle of the week and go do something, play hookey. go visit a museum, nice to do in the middle of the day when there's nobody around. i really wanted to do this today actually!

    true, that didn't suck :D travel is a great way to mix stuff up! along the same lines of the hookey concept...doing a day trip is fun as well.
