cutaneous T-cell lymphoma. apparently it is an early form of skin cancer. Im a bit nervous right now. does anyone know anything about this? does anyone have or know anyone that has had it? My dermatologist just told me it is highly curable but I am still freaking losing it.

Don't know anything about it, but good luck and I hope you make a full recovery (even if you're a Flyers fan).0

hey good luck to you amigo... i gather if caught early enough you'll be mighty fine.
i think you're freaking out cos its that 'cancer' word... its such an evil disease... but you'll be okoh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.0 -
Hope everything goes well!
My sister had a form of skin cancer, sorry not sure what type. She had some radiotherapy and is fine.
If your doctor says it's curable please believe him.0 -
Apparently it's very treatable and most people recover well.

big deal but not a big deal....it was caught early and removed
keep yourself covered in the sun....use sunscreen....keep a close eye on any other moles etc0 -
My grandmother had that exact same thing. It was treated and she was fine for a long time. She ended up living until 83 and died of heart disease.
Hope everything turns out well petrocs.DAL-7/5/98,10/17/00,6/9/03,11/15/13

i think one of the guys here at work had that. i'll have to ask him. i mean, i know he had skin cancer, but what kind i have no idea. he said the greatest thing that came out of him getting it was he was allowed to have extremely dark tint put on his car windows and he can't get a ticket for it."Have you ever.........pooped a balloon?"

It is ok to freak out...it is only natural.
I don't have any experience personally with it but you will be ok and come out of this a better person.

It's understandable that you're freaking out upon hearing the word "cancer". But, doctors don't just throw around the word "curable", so you should feel very very good about that.Good luck to you.

Best of luck to you and definitely trust your doctor. Speaking as someone who has done some cancer research in the past, new treatments and research are making cancer less and less threatening every year. There are still some types that are extremely difficult to treat, but skin cancer, caught early enough, is usually one of the most treatable types of cancer. Also, you'll get first class care at U of Penn. Again good luck, and keep your head up"Ah, life is a gate, a way, a path to Paradise anyway, why not live for fun and joy and love or some sort of girl by a fireside, why not go to your desire and LAUGH..."0

I'm a 2 year survivor of leukemia. I suggest you go to the website for the leukemia lymphoma society. They have a ton of information there and message posting boards.
http://www.leukemia.org/hm_lls
Here is the link with information to your specific type of lymphoma. I don't think you want to necessarily confuse it with skin cancer. Yours appears to be a disease of the lymphatic system which manifests itself primarily on your skin.

It's understandable to freak out initially. For me, it was important to freak out, I mean why try to hide it?Then put your game face on and get down to the business of kicking cancer's ass.
You can do it!0 -
all the best for you, petrocs. my thoughts are with you. it sounds like something you can and will get through so be well and stay well.0
