does anyone take them or do you take them only in the summer?

    God...I want to get out of this town badly. And soon!!!!

    Hoping to go next weekend...but those dreams are dissipating before my very eyes. Ughhhh.....

    I love flying to like Miami in the winter. Get on the plane and it's freezing. Two hours later...wahla! Hot! Yippee! :)

    but i ALWAYS vacation in the winter....

    and go somewhere warm for 2 weeks....

    next winter we have already decided on Hawaii............

    there's no better place for wintertime sports, and no better place to be during the winter olympics. it's electric.

    i have allready planned and booked my march vacation to the caribean i allways go to somewhere hot during the winter ,next yr i'm off to the CHILEAN summer while it's cold here ...

    I love winter vacations especially after Christmas. I think after the excitement of the holiday, its fun to have something to look forward to.

    We go to a little resort village every February with some friends and all of our kids. There is too much skiing, sledding, eating and drinking. We've done it every year for the past 10 years and it is a blast.

    I should be heading out west in March. It occured to me recently that the last two times I visited family in Cali it was for funerals. Methinks it might be nice to see everyone on a happier note.

    Growing up, my family always took our vacations in the winter. My dad was a land surveyor (owned his own business) and he was always waaay too busy in the summer to take an extended vacation. We would always wait until December or January for when his business would slow down a little and he had the time.

    Personally, I like winter vacations. If you go somewhere warmer like the Caribbean, Mexico, etc. the weather is nice and not too hot. And you can also go to colder weather places for skiing, etc. You can get the best of both worlds imo...

    Thanks, hopefully this time the 70 degrees will actually be in LA and not in New York like it was last year.

    we're taking a week's vacation in february, but not going anywhere. we were thinking of maybe going to one of those all-inclusive resorts on some warm island - totally not our style :p - but instead we bought new furniture. :D soooooo....we're going to paint our LR and hallway, and hang shelves/ledges for my pj posters. i actually enjoy the home improvement working vacations, we haven't done one in a long while. we'll probably eat out, go to the movies, maybe a museum, etc...whatever fits, whatever we feel like.


    but hell yes, love the winter vacations! for years we took a week and would head to vermont and ski, eat, drink, have a blast! haven't skiied in years now tho, but none the less...definit fun vacations! and i think absolutely going somewhere warm in winter is good too if that's your thing. mr. dream can't get time off from june thru august so summer vacations are always out for us. so as of now: february, may and october. we may actually go somewhere in october. :p otherwise, just fun at home! ;)

    i'm currently pricing flights to florida. i can't last a whole winter in the northeast, that is for sure!

    Since I'm probably leaving my job in 6 months and have 6 weeks of vacation stored up and can only get paid on 2 when I leave, I've been pricing flights.

    I think I might make my first ever trip to Spring Training this year and split time at the Red Sox and Phillies camp.

    Always take one, usually I go to a snowy locale as it is winter after all.
    Went to Whistler last year.

    Been down to Bend already this year, maybe Utah and Mt. Baker as well.
