Yeah hilarious, aside from the fact that 3 of the 9 NL starting all stars were from the New York Mets..

I fully understand that, and I would have laughed had the comment been funny. It was more of a jab than anything, which is okay but what makes it funny is what I don't understand...Anyway, go Yanks..

Pedro Martinez...if he's not on it, and Clemens is should Clemens have to give all the Cy Youngs he stole from Pedro because he's white and not nearly as good? Would this make Pedro the unquestionable best pitcher of this generation?

Uh, Can you name one Cy Young Clemens stole from Pedro? I fucking hate Clemens with a passion because he's liar, mercenary scumbag piece of shit and his agent's son is a tool, but he has never stolen a Cy Young from Pedro.

Pedro was in the NL prior to 98. So obviously the first 4 Cys by Clemens could not have been stolen from Pedro. In 98, Clemens had more wins, a lower era and more k's than Pedro and deserved the Cy. In 99 and 00 Pedro won the Cy. In 01, Clemens won the Cy and Pedro was hurt and Clemens won his last Cy in 2004 with the Astros when Pedro was helping the Sox win the World Series.

So Clemens did not steal any Cys from Pedro and in the baseball world - Pedro's 5 or 6 year span in comparable with Koufax's brilliant run in the 60's so I think he gets proper respect for his accomplishments.

Sorry...it was Barry Zito (Pedro was 20-4, 2.26 ERA, 239 K), and Roy Halladay (Pedro went 14-4, a ton of no-decisions b/c the sawx didn't know how to hit and blew tons of saves, 2.22 ERA, 1.04 WHIP...with the low win total I could see this one maybe) who did it to him in '02 and '03, which should have given Pedro 4-5 Cy Youngs along with that MVP award that was taken away from him. If he did that without steroids and Clemens did it with steroids how could anyone argue that Clemens was better?

No problem. We all make mistakes on here ... lol.

I see your point, but writers always vote on win totals for the Cy when the difference is 3 or more.

Check out the 1990 AL Cy Young voting. You could definitely argue that Clemens was robbed of that one after the first AL ERA sub 2.00 in years, but they gave it to Welch who had a better closer, Eckersly, making sure that every lead he left with was a win.

Zito definitely stole the 02 award...a total joke. 03, it was tough to give it to a guy with 14 wins, so the Sox bullpen and lineup stole that one from him.

woah...SOLAT never saw that 1990 season for Roger...that's an ass raping. Poncier, I think that year Pedro got f'd for no run support 0-2 runs, or blown saves like 10-12 times that season. It'll happen once in awhile sure, but just give him 5 of 12 and he gets it. Either way my life will be made if Petey is not on and Roger is when the list comes out in an hour.

I talked to a Sports agent yesterday who said that Pettite, Clemens, and Piazza were on it. I also heard that the report is coming from, I believe 2000 onward, so we should not hear anything about players before that time. The other thing to be aware of is each player was told in advance that they would be on the list, so they will not be surprised when their name shows up. I hope some of the good guys like Griffey are on it!!
