Strange......none of those selections really appeal to me. I enjoyed the previous Turkey Burger that was offered at Ruby Tuesday's, but not the one listed. We tend to avoid those national chain-types.

yeah, but I always thought turkey burgers were the healthier option. I rarely eat fast food..maybe twice a year or something.

rule: fast food is the devil

Another big problem (beyond calories and fat content) is the sodium in processed foods. There's a growing scientific consensus that current levels of salt in the diet are one of the biggest health threats to the public. Hypertension is a leading cause of heart attacks, strokes and kidney failure....being overweight and inactive raises blood pressure but too much salt is a big culprit as well.

for the most part, I think people know what they're getting themselves into when they order these kinds of things....but maybe not to what EXTREME extent. that's why, as of august, chain restaurants in king county have to provide nutrition labeling on their menus. (total calories, sodium and grams of trans fat, saturated fat and carbohydrates) the hope is that people will be shocked enough to make better choices. people will still do what they want...but maybe it will help some.

you are taking a risk everytime you eat out, Im sorry to say

in most cases, you cannot know what is going into your food

even at the fancy places, the caloric and fat content is probably much more than if you cooked the identical meal at home

Some people don't want to know though, and that can be a problem if they dine out frequently.

I don't think it would be identical.....if you took all the fat and calories out of a "fancy" meal....and cooked it at home.

They taste that way for a reason!

Really hard to make bacon wrapped fillet minon with sweet potato fries.....low cal and low fat. :p

me either. Over the summer I had a grilled chicken sandwich from chick-fil-a, and that was the first fast food I've had in years.

I don't eat at Quiznos (don't think there is one in the area) but I just saw this in an article:

The vegetarian sub has 1220 calories 75 g of fat!

YIKES!! For a veggie sandwich!!! I'm so never eating there!

I used to see a Quiznos here in Sydney.... never ate there.... it's either gone out of business... OR it's moved... hopefully it went the way of taco bell and disappeared out of Australia :)

It looks like somebody crapped on a plate of fries.

If you eat that and 2 other normal meals (breakfast and lunch), that's essentially 1/2 lb of weight gain in one meal guaranteed.

I can only imagine how lousy it would make you feel to eat that much fat in one shot. I'd probably puke, or have to lie down from the nausea.

Yeah...there's NO way I could do that...I'd definitely puke and get heartburn, not worth it IMO

YIKES! How is that possible? Usually when I eat a burritto it is with black beans, avacado, salsa and a little bit of chease...what else do people put in their burritos?? I guess it is better that I make my own at home!

whoa! That just made me hungry :)

that is surprising esp. about the Pizzeria Uno and the Outback fries. There was nothing from Mickey D's on that list.
