I do not plan on seeing it or reading the book. My minister says its a blasphemous, misrepresentation of the life of Jesus. The entire story is based on a bunch of jibberish put together to skew the good name of our pure and holy son of God.

I actually plan on leading some protest marches and boycotts in my neighborhood over the next few days. Volunteers are needed, religious affiliation is not an issue, just as long as you convert to Christianity by the end of the day's event.

Only if you plan to convert to Christianity too.
Love is more important to me than faith.

I think it is blasphemy. I'm not going. I've heard it is boring and that TH looks pasty in it. What does that mean? pasty white?

I love the fact that all these protests just bring the movie MORE attention.
Pick up my debut novel here on amazon: Jonny Bails Floatin (in paperback) (also available on Kindle for $2.99)

Well my post didn't stir the pot quite as much as I had wanted it too, so I must come clean that it was a bit of a farce.

First the Christians enforce their will upon the US domestic policy, ie, school prayer, abortion and gay marriage. Now they want to try and tell us that we shouldn't be going to the movie theater and be entertained?

So its fiction, who really gives a damn? It's quite a creative idea.

I believe that it is time for folks to pull their heads out of their asses and think for themselves instead of listening to what the pastor/priest/minister/pope says they should do.

I am and I don't care that I have to go alone, which is something I never do! I read the book and it was pretty good, I'm hoping the movie is just as good.

    I love these old posts.

To answer your ghostly question. This story doesn't interest me in the least.

I ignored the book. I should have ignored the film aswell. I think some chic dragged me to see it.

Anyone who'd read 'The holy blood and the holy grail' had no reason to read the Da Vinci code, or watch the movie. It was all a load of overblown guff.

I'm still amazed to this day at the vast amount of lemmings on the London transport network who were reading this book when it became 'all the rage'. It was pretty depressing to see. Suddenly all of England had become 'readers'! They all got back to reading their Sun, and Daily Star newspapers soon after though.

they've done a porno version and its called "The Da Vinci Load" ... no joke :)
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

I read the book  only cos I couldn't debate it or tell people it was crap without having read it... such a load of bollox... I didn't buy it though, I wasn't gonna spend money on something I was just reading for that reason. It was even worse than I thought... even the tiniest of most obvious simple research was missing... they drove from one street in Paris onto another... despite them being opposite sides of the city

They tried to make me watch the film so I sat through about half an hour and just had to leave... such shite.
