The 2007 Super Bowl Champs - The New England Patriots *

    *Greatest team in NFL history
    This weekend we rock Portland
  • CBS, ABC and NBC are free. you can get them with Rabbit ears on your TV. I am sure that has something to do with it.

Only great if they win the Superbowl.

I just hope that if they go 19-0 with a Super Bowl title, that will shut Mercury Morris' mouth up. Stupid old hack, still talking smack even when everybody knows the '72 Dolphins had a soft schedule.

I was hoping the 'Fin to go winless.

Damn, where's everybody? The Patriots Machine keeps on a rolling.

Has anybody noticed how ESPN has been on The Patriots Jock all week?

Every moment or comment has been on the Patriots, just seems a bit overboard to me.

great win...but god damn the Pats defense scares me. They showed in the 4th quarter. Scared the crap out of me.

Just going to throw this out there....A team that can't run the ball or stop the run might have problems later.

using that school of thought, there's no doubt that Jacksonville, Pittsburgh and San Diego all match up pretty well with the Pats (and obviously the Colts do). but it's a matter of keeping it together for 60 minutes and not giving up the big play. Plus, somebody has to force Brady into turnovers. be it with constant blitzing or someone sticking a shiv in his thigh.

I'm not worried about their running game...it's the defense I'm concern.
And later Rodney Harrison needs to stop acting like a fucking rookie.

If the Pats have to play the Jags on an unusual balmy January day I say watch out. This isn't about hating on the Pats which is usually the kind of response I expect. This is about the Pats having a legit weakness. NE is an awesome team there is no doubt, but no NE fan could convince me that they think they are just going to stroll into the SB at this point. If NE has to deal with Fred Taylor/Jones-Drew on one of their good days it might not be so easy. I don't think they even need to force Brady into turnovers. As long as a team can win time of possesion, sustaining long drives, just keeping Brady off the field is enough. Brady can't burn you if he is standing on the sideline. It would suck to go 16-0 then get your ass kicked in the playoffs.

  • As a Giant fan, they (The Giants) played much better than I thought they would. The 2 nd Moss TD (could've been 2 in a row there) and Manning's awful clock management inside 2 1/2 minutes were the backbreakers. Congratulations on 16-0. I'm just glad my team made them earn it

    bears fan here...

at no point in the season did i think the pats would lose. not during the philly game, not during the balt game, not tonight...

i was watching the game tonight with a guy who wasn't all that into football and he said numerous times from the 2nd quarter on...they aren't going to win.

i just kept saying. when they want to score...really want to score, they will. if they need the defence to get the ball for their offense, they will.

    all that came true...again.

i'm all about the '85 bears being the best team...before this. these pats, assuming they win the superbowl, are the best...ever!

for you dolphin fans who don't agree...ever see the record of the teams the 'fins played? a joke. that team isn't even a top ten superbowl team.

like i said, i'm a bears fan and while most everyone talks about the bears D that year, the offense was pretty damn efficient. while the pats D isn't what the bears had, the overall team is just better. wish i didn't say it, but it's the truth.

i hope the pats go 19 and 0. if for no other reason than to stop the champaign popping senior citizens who are the '72 fins.
  • I've been hearing a lot lately about those 72 fins getting together every year to pop some champagne when the last undefeated team falls. I always thought that was a joke, or a metaphor. Do they really do that?

    they DO do it!
with everything that's going on, they're trying to mask it, but it's an annual thing for them.

GREAT...THE LAST UNDEFEATED TEAM LOST....WE'RE SPECIAL!

such a joke. such egos. if anyone ever looked back at that team, they beat NOBODY all year.
if i remember correctly, the combined winning percentage of the teams they beat was like 46%. a joke they're ever mentioned in the same sentence as the greats.
just a bit of research and some objective thinking and you'll quickly come to this conclusion.

no wonder their sons failed in the NFL. their old man were too busy drinking champagne instead teaching them something.
