best thing about this ... if it's not working, like on Sunday ... fuck it, bring in two tight ends and let Maroney run it for a buck twenty five and beat 'em that way ...

I don't care if Brady ends up "managing the game" and the Pats win 17-14 ... a win is a win.

or bring in 3 TE (which was awesome) and run maroney down their throats.

all the pats fans seem to be in agreement that a win is a win. i don't care if the pats win 2-0 on a safety.
  • I heard there is a flood watch for the greater new england area two sundays from now due to excessive crying.

bradys foot is broken? just asking those in the boston area...thats what I am hearing? no kidding, just curious.

by the way, I heard he hurt it kicking the chargers ass. ha ha. badda bing badda bang.

you said the giants barely won, which they did (see two patriot superbowls), but they did dominate in every category. they were only lucky in that they didnt blow it for themselves with silly penalties and fumbles.

and, for the record, i am a football fan. i dont watch extra, i dont watch E, so I dont know shit about who is dating who. i could not give a shit less who Eli dates. Another reaason to hate romo and brady...they are bringing chick world into mine. i dont like it.

Don't be jealous of Brady and Romo because of their sweet taste for super-models and Hollywood actresses. :p

Has Brady ever missed a game yet? He's been "probable" to play every single game.

Not uptight at all friend, how could I be when the baseball team I root for just won the World Series, the football team I root for is about to go undefeated and complete the greatest single season in NFL history, the basketball team I root for has the NBA's best record, and heck even the pathetic Bruins just swept a weekend 2 game set from your highly overpaid NY Rangers.
Plus I'm gonna spend a weekend in Phoenix, playing golf and attending a little football game, I am not uptight in the least.

    Awesome!
This will rank up there with Namath and Messier.
I cannot wait till Sunday. All of Boston will go into a deep depression. Chants of 4 in a row (2004 ALCS) will be greeted with 18-1, FOREVA!

if plax catches 3 touchdowns in the 4th quarter maybe it will come close to messier ;)

TD hat trick in the 4th qtr....that would be sweet.
not even this program has given them a chance. not against pack, tampa, or dallas.

  • Well, this is what happen when you have two weeks between conf. championships and bowl....nonsense stories.

"During the regular season, the Giants outscored their opponents by a combined total of just 22 points. Only two other teams have reached the Super Bowl without outscoring opponents by at least 50 points during the regular season: the 1979 Rams (14 points) and the 2003 Carolina Panthers (21 points)."

This stat means nothing. Giants had a few blowouts when learning their new D (GB and dallas), and the Patriots obviously lit it up week 17. If anything, it proves they win close games. 21 points against came from Minn defense returning picks. You have to dig deep into this meaningless stat to find anything.

"First, each of those teams (colts and steelers) struggled in the regular season because of a specific injury to a player who was in the lineup for the playoffs (Bob Sanders for the Colts, Ben Roethlisberger for the Steelers). The Giants don't have a specific player whose absence was responsible for their regular-season struggles."

Derrick Ward? The forgotten Giant? Without him, no 6 in a row (602 yards in 8 games). He was a hugggggggggggggggge loss. Shockey? You lose an all pro TE and thats not huge? Kiwanuka? You lose your starting OLB for the year and thats not a key player lost? Plaxico has been playing on bad wheels all year? Jacobs was out for a few weeks with his leg injury. Eli played with a seperated shoulder most of the first half? No starting FB all season! Steve Smith (soon to be a superstar) hurt for 90% of season. Nonsense. The entire Giants team has been hurt all year, and they STILL made it to the Superbowl.

Its just going to make it that much sweeter when they win.

    On Any Given Sunday ...

I tihnk most fans of Boston based teams know this ...

Look at the Sox winning 4 straight vs the Yankees.

Look a tthe Pats taking down the 14 point favorite Rams.

I got overly confident once for the Pats, vs. Carolina (Pats were 7-9 point favorites) ... when the Panthers pulled ahead late in the game, I swore I'd never do it again.

    I cautiously optomisitic.

By the way ... I'm working from home today so can watch media day .... some chick in a wedding dress just proposed to Tom Brady .... his response "I'm a one woman man." ...

NY press should have a lot of fun with THAT quote! :D

I'm thinking Mr. Rice meant it as "I am working from home, therefore I am able to watch media day"...not "I stayed home today specifically to watch media day"

    Just my interpretaion.
