Tattoos and beards are sexy :) I don't mind looking at them for a looooooog time ;)
Six-packs...not so much. Just my opinion of course.
    oh yes oh yes...
might add some modifications to that statement though,
six packs ARE kinda sexy when not over done (that goes for any muscular aspect of the male physique) - oh and when they're not plastered all over your profile
and tattoos are only sexy (to me anyways) when they are original and meaningful.

the beard statement stands as it is.
    I love jesus scruff! ;):D

I can honestly say I've never been guilty of posting a picture of my abs. Or, indeed, of having abs to post pictures of. :p Cartoon hands and/or ridiculous facial expressions always worked for me.

But I can say that girls posing like two-dollar whores in bikinis with screen names like "Stacy Sex1064" don't impress me. I presume they're the female equivalent?

I was in my school libary a couple of weeks ago and a girl who must have only been in about Year 9 or 10 (13-14 years old) sat at the computer next to me and logged onto a Myspace. The phrase "DA REASON Y BOYZ MASTERBATE" was written across the top, and an arrow was pointed towards a picture of her.

Fuckin vile. Myspace brings out the very worst in people.

btw, why do girls fucking pout all the time in photos? Makes them look like ducks.

what if it's below the torso... would that be better? ;)
no, cos facebook doesn't have a 'zoom in' option ;)
and what is the point if you cannot see anything then?

I think its such a turn off....
AND its a pet peeve of mine.
Okay, you are fit. Congrats...and that IS good... but I mean, for one, your photo cropped only to the torso looks like every other fit person's torso.

That and i think it is kind of arrogant.
Not to mention lame, in my opinion.

Am I the only girl who doesn't get impressed by this?

    I agree that this is a turn-off.

Thankfully I don't have MySpace or FaceBook accounts so I don't have to see too much of this.

A guy I met in an airport once forwarded his MySpace picture to my phone and it was an ab shot. I couldn't help but wonder why he would send this picture to me unsolicited. What reaction was he hoping for? Was I supposed to suddenly beg him to have sex with me because he had a six-pack? It was a good picture and everything, but more than anything it just made me think, "Fuck... I need to do some sit-ups!" That and, "Doesn't a 40-year-old man have anything more meaningful to say than this?"

Don't get me wrong... of course a nice body is impressive. But being a show-off isn't impressive... at least not in my book.

Anyone who posts photos of themself posing to show off their abs deserves a kicking and a reality check.

There's nothing wrong with being fit and having a muscular body but if you think the world needs to see your carefully created pictures of it, you're a person to whom I have absolutely nothing to say except fuck off.

I know a guy who has updated a photo of his right bicep on his msn display pic every week for 2 years to show his progress. He is one of the worst people I've ever met.

I hafto say, thinking of that progress bicep thing, in regards to people's bodies as a whole, I don't really mind when people show pictures of themselves overweight and then after they have lost weight... i think its cool cos its like a personal achievement or a goal they have over-come and have sort of documented that success. But when its just excessive photos of your stomach muscles its just weird and meaningless...

    hard to explain i guess...

Nah, this is a guy who has spent the last two years drinking protein shakes and taking pictures of his arm with his phone to show girls on msn how toned his bicep is, it's not about personal achievement, he's just a tit. He was never overweight or anything, he's just the kind of guy who reads car tune-up magazines, whistles at women who walk past him and wears tanktops even though, in spite of his work, he still has pretty much the same build he always had.

    It's just masturbation.

What ever happened to the good old days when all that was needed to court prospective women over the internet was a jpeg of a dong?
