Dan Fogelberg was definately on the softer side of my taste, and my father's favorite artist.

    I heard he was fighting cancer. Sad stuff. Only song I really remember from him was 'Old Lang Syne'.

    He was a little too soft for my taste, but I have memories of my mom listening to him when I was young boy. Along with John Denver, when I hear a Fogelberg song on the radio I'll probably listen for the sentimentality of it. Sad to hear he died so young. Cancer is a bitch.

    I am so sorry! I just read this on MSN. I never knew he was sick. I love his music. It's soft but I admit I like soft rock.

    I have a major soft spot for Dan...the Power of Gold is one of those songs that I play when I think I'm getting a little too greedy for my own good. And as a horse girl, I still like Run for the Roses.

    Came as quite a shock to me, had no idea he was sick. He certainly had his place in rock, albeit, soft rock.
