Could you just post the pictures of the fans with that depressed look on their faces?

Citi Field...Congrats Mets fans - I'm sure you can't wait to become the Yankees 1A with your new field, TV network, and highly priced, over-valued players that will bring you to the playoffs every year. And then you'll be nothing more than a Yankees fan - which I'm sure you know is the lowest of sports fan form.

Phillies fans seem to have a short memory...their team played in a spectacular dump called Vererans Stadium.

Yeah and I know both well. And Shea was far worse. It's in fucking Queens for Christ's sake. You can smell the tire fires from the parking lot. Plus, we're 5 years removed from the Vet.

Never been to Shea but I've heard it was enormous and it was a complete dump.

I went to a Phillies game at the Vet back in 2000 and I thought I was gonna get knifed on the lower concourse. Awesome fans but one heck of a depressing concrete donut. I need to check out a game at the new park for sure...

I'm confused. You live in Philly and haven't been to the Bank yet? And you've only been to one game at the Vet back in 2000?

No, I don't live in PA. I used to travel that area for work. I lived in Maryland at the time.

I am on a mission to get to every ballpark in MLB. I have been to 22 so far -- three of which don't exist anymore: The Vet, Tiger Stadium and Cinergy Field. I think the best are Petco, PNC and AT&T (Giants). Never been to any of the NY parks...maybe next year...

Get to Citizens Bank. It's awesome.

I have been there 5 times... I think its beautiful besides the piece of shit fans. And Shea was MUCH nicer than the Vet.

Call Shea a dump, but it was METS fans dump.

Whatever you want to classify Shea Stadium as, there's no denying it was a unique place. Wish I made more of an effort to get there to see a game. Check out this peice from Paul Lukas on Page 2 at espn.com: http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=lukas/080926

Makes me think of the Beatles and Tom Seaver...

Those classic metal confetti panels were removed in 1980, but appently they hold some sort of cult status to the Mets' faithful -- immortalized if the form of body art: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3100/2844513045_c060447942_o.jpg
