Well, I took my child to a "book reading and signing" with Tiki and Ronde Barber. We got there half an hour before the event started, were given the wrong information about where to wait, and then found out that a private group was going to be able to listen to the reading while everyone else had to wait in line outside the store. Even though the store was practically empty, we were not allowed to line up IN the store. Some people already in skipped the line completely while security was worrying about our freezing asses. After more than an hour outside we take our place in line behind those who had cut the line.
My boy sneaks in front of them and the princess who had cut the line tells him: "are you with them?" (pointing to those before her). So I decided I had to say something. I said: "no, he's with me, but we were lining up outside for an hour and we didn't see you".
Her jaw dropped, my boy went first, and I completely forgot about all my bitching
