Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.

I've been looking into different martial arts, I'd like to follow a few classes after I'm through with physiotherapy. I used to do gymnastics and although I love it, it's time for something else. All the Krav Maga clubs are too far away. I think I might go for Jiu Jitsu (Brazilian, not the Japanese Jujutsu), Aikido and maybe karate. And let's not forget Chessboxin', I'd love to master that wu-tang style.
    THANK YOU, LOSTDAWG!

just got back from my first class!

    Great workout!

My cardio was better than I thought, but my feet are slow as hell!
Yeah, they put you through hell. In my classes they wouldn't even start the workout until you did 2 min of push-ups and 2 min of sit-ups. Now 2 min doesn't sound long by try and to either of them without stopping for 2 min.

I'm glad you enjoyed the class...now comes the hard part...sticking to it.

    No...

I just think it's annoying when people make stupid comments in a perfectly good thread...

right on. sounds like you enjoyed it. :)

So I'm going on 4 months since I started training.....

I'm testing into Level 2 (next belt level) in November! Also starting a "fight" class this month where I will actually get to do some serious sparring. Minus the groin shots and headbutts... :)

I have to say, it was a little hard coming from a "traditional sport" (Baseball, basketball...) background to martial arts. I never threw a roundkick to the knee when I was playing basketball.... :)
