Are there any out there?
The Discworld series of books has to be my favourite....
And I love Neil Gaiman too, especially American Gods.
Maybe it's my twisted sense of humour?

Although it's not as good or funny is it used to be, I'm still addicted to Pratchett's books.

I haven't read any Neil Gaiman books behind Good Omens, which is bloody hilarous!

Death, Vimes and Nanny Ogg being my favs characters.

Yay! Now I don't feel so lonely....:)
You should try Gaiman's books... Darker than PTerry but just as good.
Sort of a skewed way of looking at life...American Gods is a fave and so is Anansi Boys....
Death is my favourite character, The Hogfather my favourite book.
Vimes is next and Night Watch is brilliantly convoluted and I love all the books about the Wyrd Sisters....
    I could go on.....but I won't :)

    I like Dark :p

and Small Gods and Moving Pictures are my favourite ones...despite the fact they have none of the recurring characters (well, Death obviously, but you know what I mean).

Smoke and Mirrors & Fragile Things...
Read with a open mind though :)
Babycakes is brilliant...scares the hell out of me....

I LOVE TERRY PRATCHETT! He is my favourite author by far.

    :D:D:D

Discworld books are just so fun and easy to read, and so many references to other things. He's a very smart man.

I love so many of the characters he has written. I mean...how can you NOT love Death? :D

I have a signed copy of The Last Hero somewhere that my dad got for me one Christmas...actually, where IS that?

My dad said he looks just like the pictures you always see of him. Wearing that wierd hat!

We're all geeks here, it's all good. :)

I still need to get Making Money (though my usual tactic is wait until my dad has finished reading them, then go and "visit" and drop in the "soooo do you have any good books I could borrow" line. It's a real money saver! :D).

I think he's not that well known outside of the UK.

I always wait for the paperback though, cheaper and easier to log around..so haven't read Making Money.
  • Pratchett is really hit and miss with me. LOVED Thief of time, but there's 2 or 3 of them sitting on my shelf unfinished because I lost interest in them.

LOVE Neil - Just finished American Gods a few days ago, and I LOVED Neverwhere. I do have Good Omens, But I haven't started it yet, I have one more booksfree.com book to read, I'll read Good Omens when i send those back.

Oh man. Why does life have to suck so bad....:(

I have been reading his books since I was 14yrs old. I know it's not the end of the world, but it's pretty shitty all the same.

I'm a bit confused about that one because I picked it up from a supermarket few weeks ago, thinking it was new..and I started reading the first few pages and I swear I've read it already (but I don't own it)..
    don't know what happened there..
