So when people ask to see the ring or ask if ure married, do u point to the Les Paul??? :D haha i say this becuz i hadd a discussion with a special friend about me not wearing jewelry. The "engagement ring" would be in form of somn else and......if people asked to see the ring, we'd point to what we discussed! believe me, it would be freakin FUNNY!!! :D

    I don't think I'm bothered. If he wants to give me a ring and I like him, I'd happily accept it. If he couldn't afford a ring or wanted to get me something else or whatevr other reasons, i'm sure I'd be fine with that too.

    Well, I don't carry it around with me as a sign that I'm taken or anything. I do leave it proudly on display on the wall in my bedroom at home. My dad was in there the other day asking which one was "The One." My fiance got a kick out of it.

    By the way, an engagement ring is MUCH more than JUST a bunch of diamonds, it's meaning, it's thought, it's a commitment, it's a token of your love and it's supposed to be special and something that BOTH of you look forward to. Not something that you just see $$ associated with.

    My coworker and friend just proposed to his girlfriend and gave her a beautiful, old antique ring that was his grandmothers. Nothing worth thousands, but the meaning behind it was priceless. And she didn't look at it as "not new" or "not worth lots of cheese". It's the MEANING kids!
