thinking about buying a gun

And as far as going to a supervisor, they actually like him. You see, I work for Williamson County, not Travis County which is actually Austin. Williamson county is full of country bumpkins who think everyone is a good ole boy. And this guy is definately not. My supervisor is friends with him, and would probably tell him what I said. Other people have suspected her of telling him when people complain about him. I could write a whole page for you of reasons why he should have been fired already, including falsifying(sp?) his timecard, which since we have a gov. job is a federal offense, but he still works there. I mean, the guy is a suspected dogfighter for fucks sake.
having a gun for home protection is a pretty stupid idea. no offense, but really what are you going to do with it? If you keep it somewhere safe an unloaded and with the safety on and stuff, as you should if you have a gun in your house, then how the hell are you going to get to it and use it quickly enough to protect yourself? and you have to learn how to fire and use a gun properly as well. it just doesn't make sense. as I said, if you are that concerned that you would actually buy a gun go and get the best home security system money can buy. HELL, GET A GERMAN SHEPHERD!. These ides are better for protection than a gun.0 -
Quit your job and find a better one. Don't buy a gun. I really don't see why you would do that unless you had intentions of harming this person."I'll ride the wave where it takes me.."0

Having a gun in your home can provide a nice sense of security. If you do get one, take lessons on how to properly use/target practice. Owning a gun and not know how to properly use it can be very dangerous.0

sleeplikeadog wrote:Getting another job isn't an option for me really. I don't have a college degree, or many other qualifications. This is a good job with benefits, nice pay, etc. I like the actual work I do because I get to help animals, which is what I always wanted to do. I even turned down a job to work at the city shelter to keep working here, and it payed more.
well it sounded like it was an option when you got an offer at another shelter for more money?
All I know is that if I felt like my life was in danger and I needed a gun, the first thing that I would do would be to seek employment elsewhere if that was the cause of it.0 -
sleeplikeadog wrote:The guy hasn't actually threatened me, so I can't inform the cops of anything because what's there to inform?
I tried to get the guy fired because of him being a fuck up at work, and when he's a fuck up all of the work falls back on me because we work the same shift. And I talked alot of shit about him and about how he needs to be fired. If you were wondering why he hates me, lol.
Well maybe you should stop talking shit on him. Sometimes as much as people are sucking, it doesn't pay to be a tattle.
It doesn't sound like you need a gun though!0 -

Sounds like a silly idea, doesnt seem like there is any real threat to your life. If there really is, you can do other things about it.Alpine Valley 2000

Why buy a gun when you can just buy the guy a Coke or something to ease the tension?0

Well, from what it sounds like, this motherfucker wouldn't take a coke. I dont doubt she knows what shes talking about when she says she gets that vibe. We gotta face it, some people are really ape shit.0 -

OR! It coulda made him obsess with people drink coke! Man, what a turn that woulda been.0
