slow down.
I think you need to speak with your supervisor at work! You feel like you need a gun to protect yourself against someone at work?! Something is VERY bad I must imagine. Please speak to someone before you get a gun. If you have kids in the house its never totally safe to have a gun..
edit: seems I imagined that you said you had kids, and I thought you were a guy.. but that doesn't matter... REPORT this problem to someone asap!
Like cutback has posted, there are other alternatives to make your home more secure.
YES. It won't help you protect yourself. if this person really is a threat have you tried calling the police? do you have a concrete reason to think he is out to get you?
and what about a home security system??? that seems like it would do much better than a gun!

having/carrying a gun comes with A LOT of responsibility. are you really prepared to possibly kill this guy.
what if he tries to approach you, angrily and you get scared and pull a gun, would you shoot him, or just carry it to threaten him if it comes to that?
No.
You don't know how to use it and what are you going to do??? Walk around with it tucked in the back of your pants all day?
Guns suck.
And I don't feel right when you're gone away
If I may ask, how did you piss this person off at you specifically? And if he's a dog fighter, how did he get hired at a animal shelter. That's like a that's like a pedophile and beastiality suspect getting hired at a children's petting zoo
I agree. Good call on the security system.
Also agree with reporting the problem to a supervisor. Plus, If an actual threat has been made you can petition for a protection order.
My husband doesn't want any guns in our home, 'cause I told him if we had one I would SHOOT THE TELEVISION.

I know it sucks, but I would look for another job if I were you.. time to wash your hands clean of this mess. I would rather find a new job then get a gun and stay there all scared of what would happen.
well i'm sure this isn't an option, but maybe you should quit.....but if you get a gun and at some point have to use it, are you prepared to possibly end someone's life? even a waster of space like this guy? seriously, get some nonlethal options and maybe inform the cops...
having a gun for home protection is a pretty stupid idea. no offense, but really what are you going to do with it? If you keep it somewhere safe an unloaded and with the safety on and stuff, as you should if you have a gun in your house, then how the hell are you going to get to it and use it quickly enough to protect yourself? and you have to learn how to fire and use a gun properly as well. it just doesn't make sense. as I said, if you are that concerned that you would actually buy a gun go and get the best home security system money can buy. HELL, GET A GERMAN SHEPHERD!. These ides are better for protection than a gun.
well it sounded like it was an option when you got an offer at another shelter for more money?
All I know is that if I felt like my life was in danger and I needed a gun, the first thing that I would do would be to seek employment elsewhere if that was the cause of it.
Well maybe you should stop talking shit on him. Sometimes as much as people are sucking, it doesn't pay to be a tattle.
It doesn't sound like you need a gun though!
