hilton or crown plaza are my recommendations, although the others are fine too. don't forget about the pre-party at sweet janes on pratt street (almost done working out details)...there will be a shuttle for $5 per person one way to/from the concert. details to come...

Cool, where are you going to post the details? Is this open to all (group limit, etc.)?

No one has mentioned the Marriot Residence Inn. How about that hotel?? It is about $100 per night and looks decent. My wife and I are coming from MN to a few shows and would like some recommendations.

If walking from downtown - will we be walking through said areas to get to the music center?[/quote
Perfectly safe to walk in the area, just don't stay in the hotels. I wouldn't want those sheets touching me.

Its mostly car dealers in this area and parking lots for insurance companies, you'd be walking past. No worries but the weather.

The Goodwin Hotel is by far the nicest.

It is right across from the Civic Center and about mile walk from the venue.
    Thats probably $300 a night.

  • I got the Goodwin for $100 night!!! See you there.
  • I paid $99 for the Marriott Residence Inn in downtown, I used to work for Marriott back in the day and it's always worth the extra $30-$40 if your not on too tight of a budget. I booked so early that I even got a room with a loft bedroom by paying in advance.

It's only a little over a mile from the venue, so I'll pray for nice weather for the walk to and fro....
