So I get a call from the framers...

But then, if you're always going to have it framed, what's the difference? I'm also hesitant to play my vinyl in case I damage it, so you shouldn't use me as your yardstick. Worse case, if I scratch my vinyl to hell I can always put it back in their sleeves in their storage and I'm no worse off than now, never playing themJammin2Pearl wrote:Yeah, I hear that..
with that in mind, I think no dry mounting for me..
Thanks.
Bit OT, but it's an analogy
P.S. I recently bought a nice-ish turntable so I will probably start playing them all (Benaroya, not sure...) at last!0 -

but what if they fuck up during the dry mounting and ruin my poster...I just want it framed, whats with all this extra 'stuff' that they can do...just put it behind glass...ya know...
At least with the vinyl's you are the one handling them at every step. If you scratch them, at least you only have your self to blame...
I would hate to get a call from the framers saying they fucked up with the dry mounting and the poster is ruined...i would flip...out...0 -

They won't fuck up your poster by dry-mounting it. What messed up the ticket was when they applied heat, the ink ran and colored the stub purplish. But there was no need to dry-mount the stub, that is where the mistake was made.the sorrow grows bigger, when the sorrow's denied0 -
And even if they did, at least a poster is replaceable (especially if you didn't get it from the concert yourself therefore having sentimental value). A poster bought from 10C is just a poster, if they stuffed it then they could buy you a new one (whatever the cost).Red Burrito wrote:They won't fuck up your poster by dry-mounting it.
