    Did he say why he wanted to share the secret with you? It sounds like he shifted some of the burden of whatever he's been carrying to you.

    That sucks. Was it something that he chose to do while you were there? I think if keeping the secret is making you uncomfortable you should tell him that. Put some of the burden back on to him.
