    I heard that also

I'd be shocked if either Gagne or Kimo plays

    But it would be great

Definitely think Coburn is back especially with the extra day off

Nice win boys... 3 more like that and we'll be somewhere special.

As for players back.... Coburn will return for Game 5.. Gagne would love to come back but without 3 weeks of any conditioning or any ice time, its a real long shot even if they make the finals.

They finally looked like the team who finished the season strong and worked their way thru the playoffs. Prospal looked invigorated and who can't play well with Richards on their line... I love the way this team is constructed and can't wait to see what they add in the offseason... after a few more games :D

Staal definitely made the 3rd period interesting. But way to hang tough boys. I think Malone knows not to mess with Hatcher anymore.

I'd love to see Coburn and Kimmo back on Sunday, let's come back to Philly on Tuesday!!!!!!

    GO FLYERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Flyers Notes
Timonen may return for Game 5

After the Flyers finally broke through for their first victory of the Eastern Conference finals last night, they got some good news that gave them hope of extending the best-of-seven series a little bit longer.

Kimmo Timonen, their top defenseman, may have a chance to play in Game 5 on Sunday.

"I'm going to skate tomorrow," Timonen, who has been out for the entire series with a blood clot in his left ankle, said after the Flyers defeated Pittsburgh, 4-2. "I met the doctor today, and we took another ultrasound. Based on that, the doctor said I have a green light to give it a try. That's what I'm going to do.

"I'm going to skate and see how it feels. The doctor feels that there is no chance the clot is going to get loose or break up or anything like that. It's a great sign. A week ago, they were afraid it was going to get bigger and cut loose. I've been on blood thinners now for eight days, and we'll see how it goes."

Timonen has played superb hockey against the top lines of the Washington Capitals and the Montreal Canadiens throughout the playoffs, but he was ruled out of the Pittsburgh series after soreness in his ankle did not go away. His return would be vital in helping stop the Penguins' high-powered attack led by Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin.

Flyers coach John Stevens raised the possibility at his postgame news conference of not only getting Timonen back, but also defenseman Braydon Coburn, who suffered a horrible gash when hit by a puck in Game 2 of this series and needed more than 50 stitches near his left eye and nose.

"Is there a chance? I think there is, either or both," Stevens said. "But the first thing is to make sure of the health of the player. We're not going to put anybody at risk. If they can't go, we're going to keep marching ahead like we are. But if we're able to get one or both back, it would be a huge lift for our team."

Richards is the man. I'm so glad that he's here for the next 12 years. Its got to be fun, knowing that you can get under Crysby's skin, and there's nothing Crysby can do about it. I'd love to know what Richards was saying to him.

    Can't wait till Sunday.

He has to learn to stand up for himself and play late in close, physical games at some point so why not now??? You can't have "one of the best players in the league" sitting on the bench at the end of every physical hockey game now can you... ;)

Terrible game.. great season... thanks boys. It'll be an interesting offseason with hopefully only a few changes, and should be a great couple of years of battles in the Atlantic division with the Caps, Pens, and Rangers.... here's to the good ole days of the NHL.

Now can we just go back to calling it the Patrick Division?

Well Kappy looks like first to go...

    http://www.philly.com/philly/sports/flyers/20080603_Flyers__Kapanen_will_join_team_in_Finland.html

Solid 2 way player who could do everything. He will be missed. Hopefully we keep Dowd at a low number and surround him with some younger players on that 4th line.
